Try reading your own link---nothing about the ACLU claiming to want open borders. The ACLU is monitoring the minutemen to ensure that the group does not violate the rights of those they confront (and they DO have some rights, illegal or no)

The ACLU had a great track record of defending the civil rights of the oppressed but I think they've lost their way. They seem to want to support the underdog in any fight no matter that the cause their supporting is...insane to say the least. Oh how far the righteous have fallen...
