SIMPLE - Because they simply are nice people.
Most are drunk, so that might just be why they seem happy.
I can honestly say it's in our culture. We're raised to be respectful and curteous to others. Especially our elders. Nowadays some of that culture has been neglected. Many have become "americanized". It's unfortunate to see a mexican without a smile.
They are happy to be MOOCHING off of you and me and they know it.

There are Mexicans, African Americans, Asians, Caucasians that are nice people. I know a lot of them. However, there are also a lot of people in all of these groups that are hateful. Hateful people are usually uneducated, bored, stupid people that need to feel superior by making other people feel inferior and these are the people you are referring to. Lets face it there are happy Mexicans and down right scary Mexican gang members that are definitely not happy. Get it???

Because people are people. We are all citizens of one planet, inhabitants of one homeland. People have the right to live anywhere they want, even in America.
Yes, I do feel like I have been slapped. Does' it show? That happens when someone cheats me, robs me, lies to me or basically doesn't treat me well. I get kinda angry and mean when that happens. Surely, even you can understand that?
I guess if I had been living in Mexico and all that ...and I came up to the USA and got everything for free, I'd be smiling too. Free babies, opportunity at the expense of native born Americans, less silly laws to have to obey and big deal, if I get caugth, they give me a sandwhich, a bottle of water and drive me back to my native home in a nice new buss. What a life!

Anti-immigration people are usually lower-income types. Many of whom have had their dreams crushed and got saddled with an overweight wife and overwieght children. They contribute nothing to society, and lack the creativity or intelligence to make any significant changes in their lives or to do anything meaningful. As a result they become angry and need a 'scapegoat' for their pent-up, drunken rage. Those 'happy' Mexicans come here and work hard jobs and endure a lot of hardship and obstacles to reach a mark that most of these lazy Americans had handed down to them but failed to live up to. So the Mexicans take the blame for what the Americans can't achieve. Will it be any surprise when Hispanics become the prominent majority in the US?

well most mexicans are happy in a way because they have a job that in mexico they probably wouldnt. yet there are some that are unhappy because of the tratment they receive here is horrible!
Well speaking as a Mexican/American I know lots of people who were illegal and now are citizens and they couldn't be happier, because they have a free life and have a place where they can raise and educate their family.People shouldn't assume anything by stereotyping other races.Assuming makes an *** out of you and me.

Contrary to all these inflammatory news "reports," most "Mexicans" (Chicanos) were actually born in the US! Many of them have been here for many generations.
Also, a lot of Latinos are NOT Mexican either.
I was suprised when i went to Iraq how friendly they are, I have also been to Mexico, Costa Rico, and PR. It seems the poorer a culture is the friendlier and more apt to share they are. we are a rich selfish society in the US, not unlike the french or Brits. It is sad really.
My illegal alien drug dealer that lived next door attacked a neighbor kid with a pool cue. My #1 daughter has a house full of illegals across the street. They raped a neighbor girl. IMHO - they are not so friendly.
Ive seen friendly Mexican people. I dont know if Ive ever met a minute man.
