I am a Uk citizen marrying a US citizen,how do I change the name in my passport in the US after we're married?

I am a UK citizen and my boyfriend is a US citizen and we plan to marry next year in the US and live in the US, we have all the forms and have set the date, I just can't find information about where and how to change my surname in my passport after we are married.
Also if anyone who has been through this could offer me any advice, it would be very much appreciated!

Answer:
You will need to have your existing passport amended to reflect the change in your name. If you don't do this some countries may refuse you entry because they will argue that you cannot be identified by your maiden name. Read everything three or four times because information can be hidden in the body of the text especially where submitting types of evidence is concerned.
