Why do people from other countries want to come here to stay when its full of racists?

WOW - There are some right jerks on this site. Some of the comments and questions on here are damn right offensive. I'm from south africa, I moved to the UK, to be safe. I've experienced a LOT of racist comments and insults during my stay here, but it's worth it just to be alive.
I have my own house, which I pay for, I pay my own bills, I work full time, and still find time to go to college.
I have NEVER borrowed money or had benefits the whole time I have been here, and nor would I ever want them. I'm seriously very offended by the things I've read here. Not as much by you, as I am by the rude guys who commented on your question.
Now I have a question for you, and the idiots below who think it's cool to insult...
If you don't like people moving into your country, why do people from your country move to other countries?
I've seen countless brits and americans in south africa...I was never rude to them...
PLUS - people from britain and america move to places like spain, france and other forgein countries etc....Do you have a problem with that too, or is your issue purely based on skin color?

who said it's full of racists? most of the issues is with ILLEGAL immigrants, who mostly mooch off taxpayers. also, life in america is generally better than life in most other countries in the world!
Because of the free health care, free housing, free social services, free bla bla bla..... can you see where im going with this?

America is the land of the free and it is the reason why so many nationals of different countries wanted to achieve their American dream.
The same reason they love to hate this country but don't want to go home to theirs.
They come for the jobs and income, which are better than what's available back home.
I don't think our country is full of racists at all.. But putting up with a bigoted, racist idiot may seem like a better option than total poverty, opression and/ or the horrific reality of a civil war.
The world is full of racists. But in reality what people call racism is really a difference of opinon or values.
I am just glad they piss off white Americans more than Mexican-Americans have ever been able to.I like it and I am enjoying it. Keep on coming over here.
Probably for the same reasons you stay in a country that you obviously dislike since you say it is "full of racists." Could it be for all the social freebies here?

Still beats me why people want to come here, though, considering the mess Blair and Brown have made of this country. Maybe they don't check out the news properly to find out what's going on.
They want to settle here because they have been told by immigrants already in the UK to come on over,it's a land of plenty (welfare state) everything for nothing. They are not bothered by racist remarks because as they well know it's against the law in this country to do or say anything detrimental to them. These are the reasons why people the world over are flocking here in there droves for an easy life. I cant blame them in the least, if i lived in a poor country i would do the same thing, stands to common sense doesn't it.

Dude, I really think you need to take another good look around this country! Sure there are stereotypes. But all races in this country have thier own stereotypes. People like you are more close minded than the majority of Americans, sorry.
The world is full of racists. I myself am a racists. I really hate stupid people. But in spite of my racists beliefs I am not allow to kill or even discriminate against stupid people. Can you believe that under our code of laws if I call a stupid person stupid in public I can be sued? I have to share restaurants, theaters, etc with them. No back of the bus, no stupid sections in public places, they have all those laws protecting them. This isn't true in a lot of other countries. Many places you can be imprisoned or even killed because of your religion, color, political beliefs, drinking, having sex outside of marriage, and a whole range of things that aren't nearly as bad as being stupid. Maybe that is why they come here. For the equal treatment under the law.
Even hypocrites like MILK and HONEY.
All if they can get them free off the state then so much the better...
Because unfortunately there are plenty of American corporations that want to exploit their cheap labor.
its not us Britain's that are racist its the ones who enter our country.they dint like us but still more and more are being let into the country,it ain,t great britain anymore to many foreigners.
Free cancer treatment, free HIV drugs, free organ transplantations, free housing, Income Support, a degree of law and order - except south london ;-) - and a government terrified of offending and new arrivals.

I assumed you were talking about the UK - but now I am not so sure? It's not full of racists at all - we are one of the most tolerant societies in the West. Unfortunately that tolerance has been abused by some to such a high degree that people are sick of it and express that.
In some areas delivery drivers have refused to deliver to some households - because individuals come out with a whole wad of ID with the same photo on but all different names - yes ripping off yours and mine accounts and that is the tip of the iceberg - now that is what makes people unhappy!
Having an opinon against those that are abusing the system, the state, and a community is not being racist - it is a normal reaction to wanting to keep the country going and a reasonable place to live!

You've got a point here. I don't know. If I was a foreigner, I wouldn't want to live here. The racists being part of the reason. I'dn much rather live on the continent or in Australia.
Because without exception, this is by far the best country in the world to live in. That's why the whole world is trying to get in and illegals won't leave unless forced to do so.
