How do you feel about the illegal alien issue? Do you believe they should get amnesty?, or not, or other?
Answer:
You know, if they're brave enough to risk death to come to America, I think they deserve to stay here. What the hell have we done to deserve to live in America other than be born here?
no amnesty, they should go home and be fair. It's mean of them to and the government to put them in front of people who've been waiting years to get into our lovely country.
What becomes unmistakably clear from the details of the Senate's bill is that it is not a "compromise" in any meaningful sense. Indeed, the sweeping amnesty provisions of Title VI cripple law enforcement and undermine the rule of law.
I feel that that question doesn't even come up until the problem is solved going forward. I think that for every enforcement and border security provision in the bill there is an exception and a caveat. I think calling something border security that both cuts the fence currently required by law in half and fails to require as a trigger the long mandated visa exit tracking system and votes down an amendment to ban sanctuary cities shows the government once again has no interest in stopping the problem. Without stopping the problem, any legalization would bring far more. Our children's schools are failing, our hospitals are closing and we are draining our services to fund those illegally here and their children at the expense of our own.
Where is our government's duty to its people?
Why are our children considered less important than theirs?
Why is a 'sense of congress to accelerate the [unconstitutional] Security and Prosperity Partnership' the president signed with no Congressional oversight slipped into page 210?
This bill reeks.
They should, this way they will pay their taxes as always but this time they will be able to get their money back like everyone else. AND I AGREE WITH THE ANSWER ABOVE MINE.
When I'm home ,personally I like people to knock on the door .Then if I want to I'll open it up and let them in.When they come through my window ,use up my electricity, water, eat my food ,clog up my hospitals emergency rooms and not pay so much so ,that they have closed eight emergency rooms in the L.A. area because it cost too darn much. They send their kids to school for free by the thousands each one cost the taxpayers $2500 .The jobs young Americans (black ,white and Mexican American)used to have ,from hotel workers to baggage handlers,Bus boys to rough carpenters are all taken away.Billions each year are sent back to Mexico. They must have some real good blackmail photos of GW Bush!I get a little miffed.
My relatives had to wait in line and after my great grandfather came over his wife had to wait two more years. He could have snuck her in but he wanted to become an American not just a foreigner living and using the U.S.
YAY AMNESTY!!!!!!!
PROUD TO BE A MEXICAN!!!!!!!
We should not reward law breakers with legal status. At a minimum, they should be required to go home first and apply for temporary visas. If that and elimination of public school admission, health care (except for life or limb) and housing was eliminated for illegals, I could support the bill. I also think that knowingly employing them should be a felony requiring automatic jail time.
They should be sent back to their own country and our boarders secured. No more work visa's. Have the prisoners do the work. Business should have to pay back all cost of deportation.
I'm very angry over this issue. No, I absolutely do NOT want any type of amnesty for these criminals. I do NOT support the current bill. I want our perfectly good laws enforced NOW, not make new laws that also will not be enforced. I want the borders secured NOW and I want the deportations to happen NOW.
I think it depends on what they are doing here. If they are working and not causing crime, then they should stay. The country doesn't belong to politicians or citizens or ANYBODY for that matter. It belongs to the Native Americans. But most people don't seem to remember how their ancestors came and took the land away from the Native Americans. They shouldn't be sent "home" because they have no home to go back to. They aren't using up resources, they are paying taxes and working hard. People are just threatened by them because they are actually coming in and achieving the American dream, instead of taking it for granted and corrupting the government like most "Americans".
illegals who have been here at least 10 years and have made a nice life for themselves and no crimal background should be granted amnesty but other than that SEND THEM BACK
I personally feel that they should NOT get amnesty. However, it would not be feasible for the government to ship them all home (it's immoral to cram them into small boats and ship them back the way they came). If we are going to turn the other cheek there needs to be a few restrictions in place, mainly pertaining to what/how much of government programs they could receive. No welfare, no earned income credit, no money to send them to college, no housing programs; the list goes on . . .
Why should we be giving them amnesty? They did nothing to deserve to be called an American. They did something illegal, and are now being awarded for it. Because a vast majority of them are poor, they will most likely end up in gangs, and create more violence. They cost each county, each city, each state millions and many times hundreds of millions of dollars.
Why then, why should they deserve amnesty? The only thing they should be awarded with is a deportation notice. Giving them amnesty will be the dumbest thing that the U.S. Government has done, besides not building a wall in the first place.
They should get amnesty!!!!!!!!!... Si a la amnestia, oui ala amnesti, ja da amnestiaden!!!!!!!... Me lovii america very so much!!@#@#$$%
Having to pay a fine is not Amnesty. I am not sure why anyone would object since they say all they want is for them to pay their fair share of taxes, etc. Maybe they really do have a different agenda.
Wow how much hate towards illegal immigrants
People please think that these are people like you and me, with needs and the only crime they committed was to enter illegaly that's all!! after that they are only working HONESTLY helping in many ways to this country or don't you remember the strike last year no orange juice for your american breakfast! think about it!!
and you also should think about all the people who have died crossing the borders, and the ones that survived only for you to kick their behinds and don't give them the chance to realize their American dreams...
