I'm about to file for my US citizenship,Is there an easy way to know how many times I've been outside the US?
Answer:
It should not be that hard to see the stamps on the passport?
But I think you have to be in US for 5 years continuously before you can apply for citizenship. Best thing to do is to ask an immigration attorney.
Best Regards.
Hello infostarv!
Why not approach the immigration people and ask them.
I am sure they will put you on the right track.
Take care!
Maybe you could find your boarding passes and tickets?
the dates dont matter so much what they look for is your continuos time spent in the us with no departures. If you are not american even if you leave for a week then they consider you leaving and you start all over again. I'm not sure why someone didnt tell you that. unless of course you have a green card which you should then then go by when the green card was issued. Just so you know if you had been gone longer than 6 month then they would have brought you into the immigration office at the airport and asked you then and there why you were gone so long. so dont worry about it
