Ive gone to five different lawyers and they dont even know what it is ... help ....

Answer:
Did you consult with a lawyer who Board Certified in Immigration Law?

A T visa is a visa that is available for "Victims of Severe Form of Trafficking in Persons." Essentially, they are available only to persons who were brought into the US for purposes of peonage, slave labor, sex trade, prostitution, etc. It's kinda difficult to get because the applicant would have to show that he/she assisted the police, FBI, ICE with the prosecution of the people who brought them into the US. Not a lot of people are willing to do that out of fear, since most of the victims have been in the country for a while without a valid visa and don't want to get deported themselves.

The average attorney would not be familiar with it, as it is not a commonly used visa category. It was created under the "Violence Against Women Act" and even Immigration itself hasn't worked out all of the kinks in applying for it. If a person is successful in getting one, he/she would be able to stay in the US legally for a period of 3 years, with a chance to get a Green Card after that time.

I hope this helps!
Could you be referring to a TN visa in the US? TN visas are available to Canadians and Mexicans who wish to work in the US. It's a one year visa, renewable indefinitely, but can be revoked at any time at the border crossing. There are slightly different critera for Canadians and Mexicans, and it is limited to certain occupations.
