When applying for permanent residency in the UK, what kind of an exam do you get?

Have any of u done it? What is it like?

Answer:
It is a general test about life in the UK you can got to www.lifeintheuktest.gov.uk/ it is a site that you can take practice tests on & I believe that it has a link to the real testing site. Best of luck to you.
What are you talking about. You are either a British citizen by birth or you are not. There are no exams.
You can not earn British status!
There is no exam for obtaining permanent residence - this is a visa issue. I think you are referring to the British Naturalisation exam which is an extra step you can now take and is optional.

Edit: why give an answer a negative rating if it's factually correct?
