I understand your frustration! I am a very political individual and write to my congressmen/women regularly.
The problem is that unless they get a deluge of emails on the same subject, they will NEVER respond. Try to encourage friends and family to email them as well and you will have a better chance of your issue being considered.
I am sorry and share in your frustration!

The only respond if there is an avalanche of communications on one topic that has managed to attract media attention to their office.
Look for a " Catholic Social Services" in your area. They have someone there that can answer your Questions and Tell you what needs to be done. If they do not have anyone at that particular Location, they can Tell you Where to go, Who to see, and What, if anything ,you need to do.

I have dealt with them (INS) and I have no other to say that they are great people, working hard to do the right thing.
I don't think they care about the color of your eyes and what races there are in or out of this country.
My experience is that people like to be treated with respect (don't you?), so, when you go to a public office (or over the phone, emails...)... you show your kindness or you will eat little or nothing of what you are looking for.
