Answer:
Elect a president who takes the matter of illegal immigration seriously. We can build fences, triple the size of the border patrol, recruit the Minutemen, but that won't have any effect if the head of the federal government does not enforce the law.

We cannot secure our borders unless we put ourselves in a prison of our own making. How about addressing the problem at the root, not slapping a band-aid on a gaping wound.

Put more gaurds on patrole more fencing.. Set up maybe a half mile of fencing then a tower where people can wathch the fence definatly need to secure it somehow though.

40 foot X 800 mile wall with 50 cal. BMG every 200 yards and a 300 yard no-mans-land along Mexico's northern boarder manned by men and women that speak no Mexican. Fire one 5 shot warning burst then do the deed if they don't turn back.
I heard on CNN tonight that Iran and Venezuela is forming a partnership of nations to try and bully oil-supplying nations to cut off America's oil. They also said that they are going to send terrorist squads up from Nicaragua and Venezuela across Mexico and into the US in order to bomb us. I hope some of the bleeding heart, pro-criminals are in their targets when they do.
Mexico kills many of its illegal aliens. I am not suggesting we do the same.

Well, we've tried everything else. We have petitioned our representatives, congress, anyone we could think of, we have written letters, sent e-mails, called them, we tried to vote for the right party but who knows for sure which party is right they're all in for what THEY can get out of illegals (cheap labor) we've complained and had a few protests. I really don't see anything more we CAN do except rebel and take care of matters ourselves. We are trying to support the fence but it takes a lot more than what we can do through donations. There are a few grassroots organizations doing stuff and a few militant groups who are ready if necessary when the $h*t starts flying. All it will take is one pi$$d off alien or American to spark it and it will spread like wildfire across this country. That might be the next step. I'm ready.
Our leaders don't want our Border Patrol to arrest them, or shoot them. They don't want us to enforce the law that is already on the books. They WANT illegals here to screw up the lives of every American citizen. Our govt. doesn't give a ratz azz about true Americans.

A fence is a good start, we already know that just a stop sign will not work. But here is what will stop illegal immigration. 1. enforce our immigration laws. 2. border control. 3. take away jobs for illegals, fine, jail or close down those that hire illegals. 4. fine, and or jail those renting to illegals. 5. deport all illegal immigrants in our country.
Do what every other country does. Protect our borders with our military and give them the authority to do it. Then, once the border's secure, work from the east coast, search and remove at least the bad elements and work towards the border.
Giving stiff prison time to employers that hire illegals from any country, should be initiated as well.

More border guards, National Guard, Minutemen and fences and even land mines aren't going to solve the problem. Instead of looking at the end result look at the cause of illegal immigration. We have to first address the cause of the problem before we can find a solution. So what causes illegal immigration?
To put it simply -- economics.
Most illegals come into the United States because they can make more money and have a better standard of living here than they can in their home countries. A person coming from Mexico can do construction work and earn about five times as much as they did in Mexico. And what little money they send home after paying their expenses here is going to equal more money is going to be what they would have earned working two years in Mexico. So the problem is economics. People come here for work.
But why do they come here for work if it is illegal? Because we have employers in this country that will put them to work and pay them under the table. An illegal can literally come into this country and the next day start working for at a construction site making $9.00 an hour.
So what is the solution to the problem? Economics. Dry up employment for illegals in this country and you dry up illegal immigration. How do we do that? Attack the source of the problem -- employers who hire them. We could do a lot by just enforcing the laws we currently have on the books. But we could nearly eliminate illegal immigration by getting tougher.
To solve the problem we should impose high fines on employers. Fine them $5,000 per illegal alien employed by them for their first offense. Should they do it again fine them $25,000 per illegal alien employed. Plus an additional $50,000 fine and up to six months in jail. If that wasn't enough to persuade them to stop hiring illegals then the next time they are caught immediately seize their business and their assets, sell them off at auction, and imprison the owner/CEO/Board of Directors for no less than 2 years without parole and no more than 6 years with the option of parole after serving 2 years. How do we catch people who hire illegals? Put a bounty on their head. Use mans greed to our advantage. Offer a bounty of anywhere between $3,000 to $15,000 for a lead that results in the conviction of an employer who violates the law. After you see a few business owners get caught and a few CEO's go to jail you'd see illegals quickly out of work.
You have just now dried up the employment prospects for illegals. But that is not the only step. You also have to address the border security problem. We need more people on the border but people aren't the only answer. People need to be paid, they need benefits, they need guns and trucks and other supplies. But a wall does not. Build a wall, employ more Border Patrol and shut the border down.
By doing those things illegal immigration will virtually stop. A wall would also have tremendous effect on the drug trade.

Put economic pressure on Mexico to cooperate. Make it a federal offense to hire illegals. Clean up the corruption in the border guards. For citizens, put pressure on elected officials to take it seriously. That means write to them and get out an vote. A 90% election turn out instead of 40% would make them listen.
You would be amazed at the amount of fear just a few well placed groups of snipers with high power rifles will create. I shoot a 50, and I'd like to get started reeeeal sooooon....

People need to stop hiring immigrant's. As Long as they have a job here they will fined a way to get in America. And America must see immigrate as a inversion and teat these people as they wound a enemy army shot,kill and in prison.

Put as many of our troops along the border as possible. Post signs on the Mexican side (in Spanish) that warn if you try to cross the border, you will be shot. Put ads on Mexican radio, t.v., etc. so they can't claim ignorance. Use tranquilizer guns to shoot anyone trying to cross the border. Take any ID they have on them and deposit them in Guatamala and see how the Mexican government treats them when they try to get back in.
We shouldn't need to build a border. We are all people it doesn't matter what we look like or where we are from we are all doing the same thing. Working and trying to make a living supporting our family's. We all have feelings.
