Is it ilegal to dropout of school at age 15 in the state of texas.?
Answer:
No it is not illegal, but allow me to share a story about someone who I know who did. He was then 17. He just hated to be at home. So he dropped and joined the Army. This was back in the 1980's. He served one tour of duty and decided that he wanted better. He then took his GED and went to college. He eventually went futher and got a doctorate in physics. He is one of the brightest and most practical people I know. He looks back on those rebellious days and thinks he was just lucky. But most people are not like that.
Education is precious. I am an immigrant. My parents came to the United States because education was "free". They didn't speak English. They worked menial jobs with slave wages. In sweatshops. Why? So their children could go to school. Education is an under-appreciated priviledge in the United States. So why drop out? It is your ticket to a fine life as a productive human being.
As an American, I am often reminded of the Horatio Algers story -- going from rags to riches. What a wonderful story. What a wonderful country where the poor can become rich if they just worked hard enough. "I hold the value of life is to improve one's condition," Lincoln declared. But this is true only some of the times. In reality many who are born poor, remain poor. While those who were born rich, stay rich. Why?
Because, the rich demand that their children become educated. They teach their kids the skills for becoming independent and successful, that they too could be doctors, lawyers, engineers, entreprenuers, business men, politicians, teachers, nurses, etc. The poor tend to teach their children the habits of poverty, to blame others for their condition, that the world is just stacked against them. That is such a shame. Education is the key to your long term happiness. So have a good life.
Don't do it!
Sounds like a great plan you have there...
Stay in school...do be a retard.
Yes you have to be at least 16. Why is this in the immigration section?
no it is not illegal to drop out of school as long you have permission from parents
no,
14 is the age of consent in 17 of the 36 counties, for the rest the age of consent is 16. Of course most illegals have children by the time their 13 so it is a moot question.
dont do it ...when your 20 your going to have to spend more time trying to make it up in the mean time you will spend more time struggling for a good job ,but if youd prefer play the guitar on the street thats always a option (that is if you stayed in school long enough to learn any skills)
If it's not, it should be.
Why? so you could go on welfare? You're almost done. Why don't you finish?
I will report you on my show saying you are an illegal alien... no wait you are twenty illegal aliens who don't even talk English.... that will give me a high rating!
Why would you want to. We are living in a time where education is your only way of surviving. When I graduated from High School it was easy to get a job without a college degree now they demand one just to answer phones and make their coffee. Stay in school it's your only ticket to putting a roof over your head and food in your stomach. Unless you don't mind cleaning toilets and that soon will require a degree as well.
If you can't spell the word "illegal" (ilegal) then perhaps you should stay in school.
My sister dropped out of school and now she is 22 and can't find herself a job. Most of the minimum wage unskilled jobs they want people to be able to speak English and Spanish and she can't speak Spanish.
Yes. An officer will try to find you & you won't be able to get your driver's lisence till your 18. Stick it out. You be glad.
