I thought one day I would go answer all the pro-illegal questions with accusation of "Racist". I doubt they would think it to be funny or get the joke.
Even if the new bill has a few tricks in them, WHich I might agree, it will unravel when people put their two cents into it and I doubt the bill will pass. As for them calling you racist, I haven't seen you ask anything even to give me pause yet.

Maybe, but... What illegal in their right mind would sign up for such a plan: pay $5000, go back to your country, wait 2-8 years for the OK to come back to work in the U.S. for slave wages. Crazy.
I hate to break this to you, but in 1986 we went through this whole charade. There was a bill, it promised Amnesty, Reform, and Border Security. It delivered Amnesty.

Well, part of the bill really amounts to a reprieve rather than amnesty. Illegal aliens have to pay a hefty fine then go through the process of proving they have some business living here. More, the standards are being changed. Actual skills and education will count more than family ties, for example.
Keep in mind, also, that this is not a solution to the illegal immigration problem (ten-to-twelve million illegal aliens is a problem that one or two million simply aren't). Rather it is a stopgap measure to help make the problem more managable. Shutting down the border sounds good, but won't work. A totaltitarian state tried to close off one half of the city of Berlin--and failed. How are we supposed to shut down three thousand miles of open country?
The solution must lie in doing something to make Mexico more stable and more prosperous. I hope some of our leaders see that and find a way to accomplish it.
Anyway, that is my take on it.
I do not know what anyone is thinking , what I do know is that there is no easy solution to the problems in America, well in the world for that matter, these issues have been here for a very long while, it is going to take an entire new generation to make balanced changes that will be for the good of the entire nation.

If all illegals are made legal, they then will vote democrat. To make a long story short, everything will be run by democrats from here on out. There will be know need for a republican party. Besides, if they (the government) hasn't made them leave yet, then I don't think they will. Just my thought on the issue

If it is a trick, it is a good one. Near as I can tell Bush wants the country filled with illegals. I am not playing the race card, I am being realistic.
What if he does trick them into going home? They didn't come here legally. My father did. Came from overseas, and passed tests to become a citizen, learned English ( reading and writing). Didn't they come here illegally? If they get "tricked" back home, isn't that just their bad luck?
I tell you, they swept a factory here a few years ago. Sent all but one of the illegals back home. The one gone the longest took 3 days to get back. They ALL came back. Every last one of them.
So they get to visit home on our dime is basically all it would be. Wish I could go visit relatives with the government paying.
You know, we need very tight border control. We do have enemies out there. As an American, you should want that too. Really want to be looking down the barrel of a gun of one of the people from one of the many countries that hate us? Be the last place you look. Black, white, or blue, you are American, and for that, people from many countries hate you, and me, and many more of us out there.
We don't need Mexico to take over, and if you think they should, then by all means, move there. I want to stay here, I want to continue all my business calls without having to press 1 to continue in English, the language spoken here.
If he tricked the murderers into having to go to jail, would you be against that? These people committed a crime as well. And commit them here ( not all of them, but any is too much, you don't go to someone's home and commit a crime there). If you are a guest here, especially an uninvited one, then you behave yourself. And if you are told to leave, you weren't invited, leave.

The Consititution had amendments made for Black Americans, NOT illegal immgrants from Mexico. The Pro-Illegals are already doing fund raisers for that $5000 to give out. Makes me sick!

Not all racists are white. Even black people can be racist. And your statement against MEXICANS in general sounds pretty racist to me. There are a lot of LEGAL Mexicans in the country that are unfairly looked down upon, because too many people think that Mexicans will never be legal, no matter what process they go through.
Also, it isn't just Mexicans that make up the illegal immigrant count. There are also Cubans and Haitians, many other countries' people as well. All of Central and South America. There are other countries as well, however, it's not quite as many, because it's not as easy to come in illegally from across an ocean.
Please, pay some respect to cultural groups. I understand that illegal immigration is a big subject, and I agree that everyone that comes to this country with the purpose of setting up residence, should go through the same process that other immigrants have gone through. I don't believe illegals should get an easy way out.
However, please, just because you are black, don't say you aren't racist. That's no excuse to say you're not racist. Racism occurs in EVERY cultural group.

But back to this bill. It will have some ideas on the part of both Democrats and Republicans, But i don't think Amnesty is proposed here.
From what I've heard the illegals don't like it because it is too harsh. That's BS - it's not tough at all. This is NOT a racist issue because it doesn't matter where they come from. It is about our LAWS! Throw away the race card since it doesn't apply!
A couple of things that are not discussed when it comes to this piece a crap are things like the $2.5 TRILLION that it will cost the American taxpayer. (Source: Senator from Iowa that was interviewed this afternoon). Do you think that's right?
In addition, the only ones that have to pay any fines or leave for a short time are the ones that actually apply for citizenship. This amnesty bill allows the illegals to become legal residents but it doesn't force them to become citizens. There is no way that these people will voluntarily leave!
We have to do something about this before it's too late. Write/call your congresspeople. KEEP THE PRESSURE UP! They are already feeling the heat. McCain is running scared - he is lashing out at the anti-amnesty people.
"Pro illegals" makes it sound like there are people out there who want more illegal immigration. Wrong. I hate to use the term pro illegal because its a stupid generalization but I think pro- illegals only ask that they(illegals immigrants) arent all treated like felons. No, I do not think that the new bill will better support illegal immigration, whatever that means.
