If you are looking at sites, the ones with an address ending .gov.uk will be the official sites. E.g. http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk... and you should read these sites for accurate information.

I believe to get into the US you need to buy one of their lottery tickets but again, you should look for the information on the official sites.
