Why do people not realize that ILLEGAL immigration is Illegal?

It's a smoke and mirrors game, and the liberals are losing.
If you are against Mexicans crossing our borders illegally, you are immediately (and childishly) labled a racist, and liberals are cowards and can't handle the lable.
In fact, liberals are so prone to surrender that they'll actually join the fight against America and defend the right of Mexicans to break American law.
We all understand that illegal immigration is illegal. I do something illegal everyday. Speed. I really do. I can't help it. Maybe if I get caught they will deport me back to Germany. With all my family members.

They realize it's illegal, they just don't care. They understand the law, it just hasn't been enforced. But I think that day is coming.
There are levels of criminal intent. For example I smoke pot illegally, but I don't rob/steal/kill and I don't think others assume I will because I occassionally break other debatable laws.
I think people tend to overlook the fact that immigrants are in this country illegaly because they think about the horrible circumstances that caused the immigrants to flee their own country. Many of the instances that immigrants leave their country is because of economic hardships, political execution, genocide or other kinds of hardships that can cause a people to uproot and leave. People use this argument to justify immigration even if it is illegal and that is why it is such a touchy subject.

They do realize it. It's just that certain people can't be expected to obey the law because of their 'special circumstances'. Let's not be racist against these poor people who can't be expected to understand or bother with the laws because of their needs and wants.
Well it may be illegal under civil law, but it is not a crime!

Because there are people who stand to benefit from illegal immigration, so they characterize the debate about something else. (Socialists see benefits in votes and some businessmen see the benefit in low labor costs).
It's much easier to twist the debate. That's called spin. It's like abortion... where the debate isn't about the rights of the unborn to live or die, but it's twisted into being about the "choice" of the mother.
I agree with you. I've always wondered the same thing. We seem to live in a country were everything is negotiable, even our laws and language.

What about the Republican business owners who employ illegal immigrants?? Are they criminals too?? Are people who drink and drive criminals?? Are you criminal for stealing pens & pencils from your job?? It's ridiculous to label people "criminals" just because they go against what you believe in.
People DO realize its illegal,but the ones in power are afraid of being called racist,so they are too yellow to do anything aqbout it.The democrats know if the open the borders,the Mexicans here will vote to keep them in power,NO MATTER what damage they do to America.There are 6000 OTMs a year (other than mexicans) coming across the border,and NO ONE is willing to admit that we do not know if they are terrorists or just ordinary criminals.When your first act in MY country is to break our laws...I DO NOT WANT YOU HERE...neither do millions of my freinds! That is why I am running for mayor in my town so I can at least get them out of my neighborhood,if not my country.

Because people twist the truth to their own advantage. And the media in this country cannot uphold the truth because they are sponsored.
Here is one thing I am more worried about. The laws of this country that help prevent chaos are progressively weakened by those who are allowed to ignore them because of "special circumstances", IMO.
We all disagree with illegal immigration, but we have different views on how to achieve a solution.
