He added that "if this can happen to agents Compean and Ramos, it can happen to any one of us." It is also sending a strong message to illegal aliens, drug smugglers, and potential terrorists illegally crossing the border into the U.S. everyday. Those involved in illegal border activities see this as a victory for them, endangers the safety and welfare of the officers on the front lines and compromises the safety and security of every man, woman and child in the U.S.

The Illegals laugh because people are afraid of not being politically correct or called racists. It's not prejudice or racist to enforce just laws that were made to protect our country. Illegal is illegal and we the people need to start sending the message that we want the laws enforced and the United States protected. We don't need new laws, What we need is officials that aren't afraid to do what has to be done. If the bleeding hearts want to help the under privileged there are plenty here at home that are legal citizens. No illegal should be given any benefits here, except a one way trip back to were they came from. Lets take care of our own here at home. I bet the American Indians wish they had sent the first Europeans back with the there tails between there legs, but that was then this is now. If somebody comes here the right way the legal way great, but if they do it illegally then they're criminals. If someone thinks that's racist then there a moron and don't know their head from there ***. I have served with many great people that were not natural citizens but were taking the proper steps to become US citizens all of who I am proud to have known.

The demoralizing affect of this lack of prosecutorial discretion in a time of war is questionable at best, begging the questions: how serious are we in securing our borders, and why isn't the U.S. Department of Justice exercising the same zeal in the prosecution of illegal aliens as they are in punishing those front-line agents who are understaffed, out-gunned, and hamstrung by rules of engagement favoring the criminal?
