Why do ILLEGALS and their supporters feel that?
I don't have anything against others wanting a better life, but that "better life" should NOT come at the expense of the American people!!!
And,by this i mean, that we have our OWN poor people that need help, and they need to come FIRST!!!!
The "American Dream", should NOT be subsidized by the American TAXPAYER!!!! And, by this i mean, that ANY and ALL foreigners who want to come to THIS country, should be self-sufficient (capable of supporting THEMSELVES and any and all family members!!)
It should NOT be up to the taxpayers to PAY for someone ELSE'S kids!!!
NOBODY paid for MY kids, except for my husband and me!!! And, we only had as many kids as we could AFFORD!!!
As i said, i have nothing against anyone from any country coming here, but do it legally, support yourself, and RESPECT this country by obeying our LAWS when you come here!!
Answer:
I agree 100%, well said. It's funny that your question is posted here, seems Yahoo has you on a time delay.
Is that mean that you don't want me and my 5 Mexicans kids to achieve my American dream ?
ROCK ON!
Way to go baby. Tell it like it is.
Well said. A woman I work with told me today about her girlfriend selling her house to some Mexicans. After she signed the papers and paid the closing costs of 1200.00 for them. The Mexican lady told her that the government knocked 5 grand off the price she paid. This happened in North Carolina and the mex lady did not say if it was federal or state government...
The American Dream was created by low immigration levels during a backlash against the 'great wave' of immigration ending in the 1920s. About 150,000 to 300,000 people were let in legally, anually until 1965 when Kennedy changed the immigration laws so that foreign family members of people here, rather than we, decide who is coming. The lower labor competition allowed our working people to earn a fair wage, and led Americans to expect a 'nice' lifestyle with a small house and a picket fence.
Now about 1 million come LEGALLY each year, and most agree that 750,000 to 1,400,000 more come illegally each year. This has huge impacts on workers and the existence of the middle class.
Take a look at this video if you haven't seen it. Remember that he is ONLY talking about legal immigration, which is why his 'bad case' number of 300,000,000 people in the US was exceeded in 2007 rather than in the 2050 he projects.
