I work with immigrants (legal and undocumented) naturalized citizens, Mexicans, Gutemalans, Latinos, Hispanics, and all sorts of others. I consider myself lucky to be exposed to such wonderful culture and help some of these people achieve a better life, oftentimes beginning with basic human rights. People who are angry at immigrants feel threatened and instead of taking the step to get to know their neighbors, many find it easier to shut their doors and make up reasons not to go outside of their comfort zones.
