I hear you. I know how hard it is for people who have lived here all their lives when they can't get a job or afford to keep a roof over their head and they see the thousands of immigrants coming over here demanding jobs. Its why they end up turning to the BNP.
Middle class people say we "need" Polish immigrants to do jobs "Brits won't do". These people are so rich they have never had to work in a pub or go cleaning to put food on the table. They don't realise that some Brits are living in this way. They don't see the resentment when someone who works on a building site or in a factory loses their job to an immigrant or sees immigrants taking the work away and making jobs scarcer.
Its just ignorance. These people live happily on their £40,000 pa salaries and have no idea that some British people live in poverty and do shitty work because they can't find anything better.
It doesn't seem to be causing me any trouble.
If by trouble, you mean that you don't like foreigners, then I doubt they're going to be too fussed about that.
Would you care what the indigenous population thinks by the time you have got a free house, free car and a pocket full of notes at the hard working taxpayers expense?

Most of the immigrants are hardworking.The Polish people in particular,are the nicest,most hardworking people ,I have ever met.They come to our countries to improve their life style and for economic reasons.We and the ruling class(powerful industry leaders) take advantage of them.They get work,pay their taxes and add to our society.Where would America and Great Britain be without immigration.

Another in the long list of lets blame immigrants for all Little Britains problems. Britain has welcomed immigration for hundreds of years. Britain benefits from their economic activity and hard work and despite your shocked question, Britain is seen as a tolerant and fair nation, which people who come here appreciate.
Opening European borders allows free movement and that is the only recent cause of any increase in population for economic migrants.
If you dont like the country then you can move to Europe or if thats too ethnically diverse, then perhaps try the Faulkland islands as a Little offshore resort..!!

they don't care, they`re relatives have told them about all the goodies they will get when they get here, so they keep coming.its better than looking after the goats back in the village.
They might not be welcome, but since we're not doing anything to stop them, they'll just keep coming - for the benefits, the free housing, a car, the easy access to drugs & of course to boost the crime rate, cos they know they won't get caught.
Why would they "care"? Immigrants come for one reason only, and it's not because they care about how you feel about them being here or the consequences it might cause for the country.
It happens the world over, poor people flock to where there is opportunity. Without the help of a time machine to change history, there's nothing we can do to stem the tide of people arriving because we have a lame government with no spunk to actually put a stop to it.
I'd vote for a government who would put a stop to it and actively reverse the immigration process to balance out our population to what it was when we had a better lifestyle and less of the crap we have to tolerate these days from being told we are forced to live in a multicultural society.
Let me make this clear, I'm no racist, I'm just very disillusioned with our wanky government's failure to deal with such a serious problem.
It is mass immigration which is the problem and Indian sub continent people saying they are "British" as soon as they pass immigration control. There is no mechanism in place to prevent 10s of millions of people coming here. Most are from countries which are political cultural and economic disasters.
We in fact been exceptionally tolerant but tricked into this by a dishonest government looking for an extra workforce. It is desperately important we do something about this tsunami now before the inevitable recession comes, then I would advise everybody to keep off the streets.

My family came here over 21 years ago. My dad is disabled and was told he could claim benifits and didn't need to go to work. Same with my uncle who has a different disability. But they both went to work despite this. They both pay their taxes. So what have we done that would make you think we are not welcome in the UK.
I'd much rather have immigrants who come here, keen to work hard and make a success of their lives than British born whingers who think they have a right to a living because of an accident of birth.
I echo the sentiments already expressed about recent Polish immigrants - but need to add that they don't get the jobs because they are prepared to work for less, but because they are prepared to work hard, at unsociable hours and without constantly moaning about how tough their lives are, unlike their British counterparts. Look how much the service at many motorway service stations has improved over the past couple of years, with polite clean young East European people serving, instead of surly Brits.
Asians and shops - why are they a success? Because they've worked hard to make them a success. In the days when 'white folk' owned the small shops it was impossible to buy staples like milk, bread after 6.00 pm or on a Sunday. Yet we 'complain' when Asian immigrants open shops and provide a service to the community.
Perhaps the answer to the immigration problem would be to remove all the lazy Brits who moan about immigration and blame immigrants for their own shortcomings - after all, it's easier than actually doing anything to improve yourself, like immigrants do!

Im a military veteran who has fought for this country and has never been able to get any help from the government I fought for. I have to pay for medical treatment, was passed over by the local council for a house yet priority was given to Nigerrians in the area and i am very very annoyed with the way ive been sold down the river by the government

But that's not the polish folk's fault, is it? Maybe you should be rallying against uncaring, disloyal employers rather than people who do nothing worse than apply for, and get, jobs.
Not only that, but you don't address the qualifications of the candidates. Our education system is in such tatters that we need skilled labour from abroad if we're not going to become a third world country ourselves.
So where exactly do you think your pension is going to come from when you retire?! Because with the present birth rate there are going to be more people drawing their pension than putting back into the tax pot, these immigrants are needed!
And I will add that the genetic make up of every British national is 'mixed' owing to the transient and explorative nature that is human nature. If you are completely ignorant of the many invasions both in and out of Great Britain that have occurred over the history of time (surely you have heard of the Romans?!) then surely you will take note that the word 'English' means of Germanic origin/speaking - the Angles/Engels invaded in the 5th century AD - do tell me you learnt about the Saxons at school!
Immigration is not a new phenomenon and I doubt very much that you would be complaining so fervently if it were you selling up and moving to the Mediterranean! The only resulting problems are as a result of bigots stirring up situations - as with the whole of humanity some people are desirable, others are not - but does your nationality really dictate how useful to society you are?! I know not - I judge people by their actions - and you sir are acting appallingly and are your self 'causing trouble'!
Oh I can add a further argument to this debate: the 'United' Kingdom has such a relatively small population that if new genes (as in from imigrants) were not added then within a few generations our children would become so horridly inbred that there would be nobody left to complain!

Well, I am an immigrant to the UK from the USA - and I work and do not take benefits.
You are mistaken in thinking immigrants aren't welcomed because they most certainly are (I know, I am one!). The ones you are referring to are from the new Eastern European states and frankly, they've been welcomed because the economy is driven by supply and demand. Economically speaking it is better for them to come, so they make more money and have a better way of life, and we get to enjoy low prices on everything from DIY to store help to construction - you name it.

it seems to me that a lot of people who are critical of this type of question dont live in the real everyday britain. you must go around in your own world to not see the crime they bring with them. i see immigrants bloody everywhere i go and yes some have a genuine need for help but many are just here for the free ride. i am also sick of people saying polish people are hard working as this is not the point in question. it is just that there are too many of them here and our own work force is suffering. In scotland our GP service is overwhelmed by the shear amount of them ( you can look it up if you want as the S.E did a report on it ).our schools are also overwhelmed. I dont believe many of these immigrants care 1 bit about what we think.
Re jobs being filled. If you ask plumbers and builders how Eastern European immigrants have affected their trade you will find that the wage for a £12 per hour bricklayer has been reduced to the minimum wage of £5.25. The property boom has made it possible for developers to make even more money at a cost to British tradespeople. They emigrate because of it.
Yummy mummmy you have hit the nail on the head,the UK are already putting up pension ages happily people live longer and there are more taking money out of the pot than putting it in.Schools close due to reduction in birth rate who is going to pay taxes in future the only hope is these immigrants.As for Polish people until recently there was a deficit of 30000 hgv drivers in the UK and friends of mine who are hauliers had constant problems with drivers who didn't give a toss because there was another job waiting.Now they employ Polish drivers and the only backchat is - Yes Boss!

But if I was to be turned down for a job because some Pole was cheaper then I would call for the Conservatives to get back in power and limit immigration.
