Is this a fair fix to the immigration problem?

The whole thing of being a citizen of the country you are born in is a world wide one.
And what ever happened to:
"Give us your poor, your tired, your huddled masses longing to be free..."

It is maybe a good thing that the immigration laws weren't in effect 10,000 years ago when everyone entering what is now the north American Continent were immigrants. And everyone coming since then by ship, boat or foot were immigrants. Hell even the "native americans" immigrated from across the Bearing Straits. And I believe the native americans(who were here first) weren't too happy and protested about the European immigrants coming and settling and moving west and taking over their lands. But that didn't stop them either did it.
And what about those people who did not immigrate here but were forced here. (slaves, prisoners, indentured servants)
I feel ( and yes I am aware that opinions are like a**holes and everyone has one) that a better answer is to get all the immigrants legal jobs so that they can pay taxes,social security, unemployment benefits and Workman's comp just like every other american has too. And also that in order to receive social security you must have worked and payed into social security
would help the situation of being over burdened.

Hey I have a very good fix for the illegal immigration problem, lets have Mexico take care of its own poor.
They started this back when America was first founded. The problem with the whole system was that is was prejudice against certain forgeiners and let to people being denied entry or in some cases even sterlizing people.
The way to fix the immagration problem would be to make the people not want to come over here, but the problem with that is that Mexico isnt that great of a contry. The new border patrol may slow things down but they need a better way than just catching them and releasing them back to try again the next night.
Best solution is to enforce our immigration laws.
