Why don't you like Italy? I am actually planning to move over there. It's an industrialized nation, has lots of history, great culture, happy people and delicious food. Maybe you could tell me a little about your experience in Italy, what's best, worst...any tips. But if what you want is Canada, this is what I know:
You can go as an skilled worker to either the English speaking Provinces or to the French Speaking Provinces (which is basically Quebec) And you must have a working knowledge of their language. Check the Canadian embassy in India or Italy website, and they`ll have a list of professions that are currently in shortage. If your profession happens to be one of those and you have a degree and some experience...voila! Fill out the application, pass the interview and expect to be there in about 1 to 2 years.
Marry a Canadian and while in Canada, wait some years to get your residency permit and then your citizenship. It is probably the surest and fastest way to get there.
If you have a family member in Canada (son, parent, cousin, uncle), get to any entry port to Canada, even if you don't have a visa, and say you want to apply for political asylum because you fear for your life in your home country because of poliotical, religious, racial or sexual orientation reasons. They'll give you a home and help you with your food until you have an acceptable job and until they approve your asylum. You might have to pay a lawyer to help you with your case though.
If you don't have family in Canada, you'll have to get any visa that gets you into Canda (student, tourist, transit), and then file for asylum. WARNING: Some people suceed in getting an asylum easily, but it can also happen that your asylum is denied and you are ordered to leave the country. So make sure you have a good case and a good lawyer.
Finally you can start by getting a work permit(if you have a job offer in Canada) or a student visa, then stay in your skilled job for several years and then apply for permanent residency.
Finally for Golfer:
Illegal immigrants in the US have no right to welfare, social security, foodstamps, state health inssurance, government student loans, or any kind of Federal help.

get married to a canadian lady...that`s the easiest way! Do you have somebody to hook you up? I mean if you really wanna live in Canada...that`s the only clean way unless you wanna go thru the whole process of immigrating witch is very difficult. Or perhaps you should try a work contract......on my behalf a would move to Italy tomorrow! It`s not easy both ways :)
First, fly to Mexico. Then wait for a moonless night and swim the Rio Grande River along with the other thousands who will be there with you. Once across, you can go anywhere you want and the good old USA will provide you with Food Stamps, Healthcare, Welfare, and maybe even Childcare. Who knows, maybe you wouldn't even want to continue on to Canada.
I think you have to go back to India. Indians are enough now for the world we are living in.
