Well we get murderers and robbers and alcholics so i think that a bus pass wouldent really matter :( more and more of them :(
If you altered the bus pass then yes it is a cirme, technically fraud. If you are a criminal we don't want you here anyway.
It is possible it will affect your application, but knowing our social services system, they'll give you a big house and a weekly income.
When did you apply for British Citizenship? If it was before 4th December 2006 then different rules apply:

You should notify the Home Office of your fine and I'm sure it will not affect your case. You do not want them to find out about this from their enquiries even though it is minor. Altering a bus pass is fraud and if they discover you have done this from the police or the courts without you telling them they may well believe it was something more serious than changing the data or whatever you did.
If it doesn't affect it, it should.

It should do. Altering a bus pass may seem like a minor thing but it is stealing and fare dodging. It also shows what your mind is like because you are willing to do it.

If it was changed and not yours why was it altered? .And why not get a legal valid one if you are entitled to one.Yes I should think that a thief and a fraudster. Will not get British Citizenship. And why should you? you have only yourself to blame
