i live on the tex/mex border and love it...the illegals just pass through here on their way up north and there's plenty of "legal" immigrant workers around so's i don't have to get my hands dirty

Nope, I'd hire blackwater or some other mercenaries to protect my property and I would demand that the government do the job that I am paying them to do -- protect me and my property from all enemies, foreign and domestic. I would probably take up a collection to build a prison on the property to house all those lawbreakers and get paid for it.
No, because if they find out you burned your place down for insurance money, that could equal jail time. Not to mention your local fire department would be doing a through investigation of the incident, and if they find evidence that you committed arson you could be in jail for sometime.
