How do employers know Not to hire Muslims if they are not on the Terrorist watch list?
Can someone please explain to me how they know without ever asking?
Answer:
Employers can guess.
But they cannot legally require an answer. And they cannot legally discrimination on the basis of religion or ethnic heritage.
So, if they are discriminating, they're doing it quietly so as not to get sued.
u just check if it's Osama Bin Ladin or not
I think they use racial profiling. If someone looks Arab.then to certain people they must be terrorists.
Aren't questions about religion on job applications illegal?
I'm sure it can happen but it's not supposed to by law.
I wouldn't know, We have a pretty sizable Muslim community here (judging the size of their mosque) and I don't think they have had a problem getting jobs.
If you know of such a case you need to go to the Department of Justice and make a complaint against the company. It is against the law to discriminate based on national origin, race, or religion.
