When they did this a couple of months ago, I just went around and swore not to visit those businesses that were shut down. If you are here illegally, you better believe that there is no way that I am doing business with you. So, in a roundabout way, you HELPED the American/legit system and hurt the illegal companies.

Oh Please!!!! They tried that about nine months ago or so. Did even make a hiccup in the economy. If you want to come to the United States, just do so legally. In the meantime, try to do something so your mexican government will fix its own crappy economy.

National strikes n the USA don't succeed because too few participate. In this case I am not certain that you are an illegal immigrant or and outraged legal citizen even. Ranting is a good way to vent but not everyone reaches a boiling point simultaneously. I'd suggest all of us try to influence our representatives to work for us first. Visit one or several and fill up their ears!
I am self employed, so I can't boycott against myself. The illegals tried to boycott by not working, and it did nothing to the economy. The only way to effectively change the laws here, is to boycott all politicians and sincerely make moves towards a revolution.
