Why do some immigrants in America are mostly successful in life than an average American?

Here's the thing: If you are isolated from your culture and society, you are not going to have somebody helping you get pulled up and on the road. Yo have to rely on yourself, and learn to think "outside the box". Most immigrants arrive with little in the way of money or possessions. All they have is their own intelligence and work ethic. Have you noticed all the migrant Mexicans mowing lawns and doing landscaping? How many times a year do you think they call in sick? I can guarantee you they NEVER do, unless they are fit to be hospitalized. Quite a change from the people I see calling in sick because they have a stuffy nose, or stay out on sick leave for thre weeks from a "bruised rib".
An immigrant is used to seeing things in a different manner than the locals. Everything is new, and they can compare it to what they have seen in their own homeland. So they may have fresh ideas on how to do things a little differently that may earn them a few extra nickels.
Good ideas carry people far if the ideas are implemented. My father has always said that overnight success took twenty years to come about. What that means is that when you see someone become successful in a short period of time it's simply because they had been preparing for the moment by gathering resources or planning a move, or studying, getting a degree, etc.
Are immigrants more successful than natives? Well, since most of us are immigrants of one stripe or another the question seems awkward, but recent immigrants are fighting for their very lives. They need to gather money to send for other relatives, or to send money to pay the mortgage of the family home in their own land, or becausethey don't know when their job will end. So they tend to make the most of it, knowing that they have their backs against the wall.
They take nothing for granted and they work very hard being grateful for the opportunity they were given to live in a free and prosperous country!
Most immigrants understand the opportunities afforded them here in the US. Not all immigrants are successful, but they do understand sacrifice and are willing to do what it takes to make it. Most people in general don't want to do what it takes. What we think of as going without, some think its a luxury they've never enjoyed.

Because they work hard. Americans think that they are intitled to be wealthy. Always trying to get something for nothing.
A lot immigrants have there lives in prospective better. They know what they need. Not what they want. As humans we need food. We need cloth. But we don't need a cell phone, cable tv. Nor do we have to be driving a new car. An immigrant will buy only what is needed until they can afford what they want.

The reason is that they migrated to another country for a better life and to have a better life they struggled and got themselves where they are now.Thats the point of immigration!

They are desperate. Most people dont want or need to be wealthy they just want to do their job and be happy. They know also that wealth is something that not everyone can achieve otherwise who would do all the work? how many times do you hear some idiot say "its easy anyone can do it", so who will do all the work braniac or rent out your houses if everyone is doing it. For every wealthy person there is ten thousand others that had the same idea did all the same things but dint make it because it was not the right time or place. The only difference between a succesful person and someone that isnt, is luck. Wealthy people are generally people with insecurity issues that need to surround themselves with things that make themselves feel important. What the hell does Bill Gates need all that money for he cant ever possibly use it. He and all like him are like those crazy people that collect garbage to the point where they can no longer move in their houses, they just dont have any self control and dont know when to quit.
Many of them are given a certain amount of money just for landing on our shores. Like Vietnam, Cuba, Yugoslavia and other countries of Persecution. They don't have to pay taxes for 4 years. Many of them know the system and after 4 years bring another person from that country and use them as owner of there business and get another 4 years and the cycle continues

It's probably because we take our country for granted.Those of us born here seem to think all of this is normal.Think about it...if you came from nothing,you'd try to get everything.If you were born with everything,you'd simply accept it as is.And I'm not just talking about rich americans.All of us poor people here still take much for granted.In other countries,there is no public housing or food stamps.You can't go to salvation army for free clothes and food.You have to make do with what you can there.So,when those poor people from other countries come here,their eyes are open for opportunity,where ours are blinded by what we've always known.We accept and think it's our God given right to have freedom and be able to express ourselves.Why?Because this is all we've ever known.If you come in from another country that is less than ours,you'd see that this is the land of opportunity.Thats what they do...look at our country without our blinders on.Every American could do the same,if we only tried.
Don't be deceived, they pay zero taxes, yet are able to file a tax return and get more money. They also get the fringe benefit of government money being a minority. Our country is upside down. Do you think if you went to Mexico they'd hand you free money and all the things America gives hispanics? No they would not.
Well, back when I was trying to start my own business, at 21 years old, I couldn't get a loan. Did not have enough established credit, and did not have family money as a back up. However, the immigrants from Vietnam could get 3% government loans, with no credit, to help them get started here in America. I don't mind giving them the loans, I just never understood why we didn't give them to American citizens as well.
Did you reread your question before you posted it? There are no where near as many successful immigrants as successful Americans. Get your numbers right.
Well, first of all, you no goodee englis speekumz, so it's back to school for you, second, most americans do all right, and third, it's not immigrants that are the problem, it's the millions upon millions of ILLEGAL immigrants who've decided to basically jump the fence and 'catch me if you can'. To that end, more americans are standing up in favor of immigration enforcement, and sending the illegal aliens home. Hope that helps!
