i think the major issues are amnesty and free medical,
and lower tuition and other benefits that are just going to be handed to them.
why not just wipe everyones slate clean and start over fresh?!
drug dealers, kidnappers, child support deadbeats, and all sorts of other offenses that american citizens are filling our jails for!
as for the race issue, thats just an easy copout for the ignorant peaple who stereotype and to the ones who dont have the intelligence to state their case and back up their words!
american peaple are struggling to get proper medical care and get a break in college tuituions, and higher taxes!
why should anyone get a get out of jail, free ride card, wich will be according to race!
let the construction companies, beefpacking plants,
landscapers, roofers, agriculture, pay a decent wage, if they cant afford it they should get into another less expensive bussiness or get a job!

Simply put, calling someone a racist is the last resort when you have no facts, figures, or relevant data to use to support your argument.
But it is page one of the Pro Illegal Manual: when you have nothing of relevance to add to the dialog, call someone a racist.
You can't prove they are a racist of course; they can't prove they aren't.
It's nothing but hyperbole to support an unsupportable argument.
I'm pro-immigration reform and while not all[or even most] antis are racist the ones that are make the rest of them look that way.

Because they think it's the easiest excuse. Well it's so over used and us, Americans are sick and tired of it. They are guilty and they know it, however they are in denial. They do twist the truth about being "illegal" here in the U.S. by bringing up how poor they are and that they are victims of society. I say BS shut up, stop your self pitty, go to the nearest INS office, fall in line, fill out an application form and for once, do the right thing.
P.S. stop taking advantage of our government programs designed to help poor U.S. citizens. If you need help, ask the mexican government to help you. Your problem is not ours to shoulder.

I'm against illegal immigration and against any immigration reform...so is my mother who worked hard to become a citizen of this country. Enforce the laws in place that's what we want..and yes there are some people on this side who will racist remarks like *******, stupid Mexicans, etc, and they do hurt the cause against illegal immigration because groups like MECHA, La Raza use it as to their advantage. Also its the same for the other side. They use the same thing calling them rednecks, racists, etc..when in fact it's just as diverse as any other group.in this country race is being used as in advantage, when it shouldn't be. Doesn't anyone ever remember what MLKjr...judge by the content of character.man..I can't believe people actually forget this stuff...

P.S i am a legal immigrant i have been in the U.S only 3 yrs and i and my family went through alot of challenges to get accepted to come here. and i have respect for this country and i do my best to keep the culture of this country alive.
It is yet another way to ride the coat tails of a group of people. These illegals and those who support them diminish the true claims of those who are burdened in life from racial discrimination and the illegals are only exploiting those people as they have learned to do so well. I have been contributing to this forum for over a year now and your right...it is virtually always the same thing...if you have a point, instead of thinking it through the first thing they type out is that you are a racist. It is a sad commentary for the illegals when they have no choice but to claim racism for those of us who wish to live in a crime free country. I once asked a person who called a contributor a racist if (because the majority of drunk driver are men) there was a nation wide crackdown on drunk driving would he then call those who wanted drunk driving to end sexists, needless to say there was no response.

Amendment, EEOC, The right to public accommodations, the voting rights act ,school desegregation etc, The Anglo did not go without kicking and screaming. The Federal government had to deploy armed federal troops to the South to force the desegregation of white only schools and Universities, The solid Democratic south left the party and joined the Republican party over one issue Equal Rights (lawful racism) those people form the core of the neo con movement, that is why ,I call them racist. !

Example when they talk about illegal immigration they only mention Mexicans in a hateful tone. Yes, they make up the majority, but there are MILLIONS of illegals from other countries too like Iran, China and Asia.
I don't know if you have looked around at some questions or answers that several anti-illegals came up with (here on YA) but seems to me that you choose to avoid that fact.
Admit it, you've seen hate said by some/most (not all) anti-illegals. Somehow these anti-illegals turn the subject around and make it only about Mexico and Mexicans and they start their hate. So don't be ignorant and deny it that the hate is actually there.
And no, no one is calling you racist because you want to "enforce the laws" or because you "want illegals deported." That's not the point.

1. "They" are stealing from our Americans hard earned money.
You are inferring that somehow they are taking money from hardworking people by stealing it. You don't clarify your opinion, you don't provide any resource for your information. You are just blathering on repeating what you have heard. You have no basis for this statement.
2."They" don't pay taxes.
Well, they do. Everyone in the United States who gets a paycheck has payroll taxes deducted from it. Everyone who purchases anything pays sales taxes. Anyone who buys gasoline at the pump pays gas tax. Do they sometimes get paid "under the table"...of course... So do Americans - especially the welfare queens and kings and those on "workmans compensation"... and a goodly amount of retirees on Social Security. Many of those on unemployment work under the table too.. So, you have no basis for that allegation either. You have accused "them" of doing something that a good percentage of the American citizens do.. That's showing prejudice.
3. "They" cry to the ACLU and sue the very same people they steal taxes from.
The ACLU is a watchdog organizations to ensure that EVERYONE is treated fairly and humanely. No matter your citizenship status - or lack of it, you cannot be treated unfairly. ACLU makes sure you're not. You have no basis for this allegation either.
Your rather lengthly question shows that you need to do some serious research on the problem. You have made so many assumptions..none of them true. If you want to voice your opinion, you ought to at least have a clue what the issue is rather than just spouting off.
And, there are jobs that many Americans won't do because they think these jobs are beneath them. Stoop labor in the agricultural fields, cleaning toilets in office buildings, working at the landfills, keeping our streets and roads clean. Some would rather sit on their butts and let the taxpayer support them than pick a head of lettuce.
Because they want an excuse for themselves, and the pro-illegals want excuses for being that way.
