Why is it so hard for people to comprehend the word 'illegal?'?
Answer:
That's just it. ILLEGAL immigration. I'm sure if someone raped a child, they would be thrown in prison. If someone sold drugs, they would be thrown in prison. If a person crosses into the U.S. illegally, they get treated with the high life. It makes no sense to me. Why are some laws enforced and some not? It's just stupid idiots who want the illegals here.
i have no idea.
nothing is illeagl unless your caught
I don't know, ask one of those crazies on the freeway doing 85 when the speed limit is clearly marked 70, now they know its illegal but they do it anyway, gosh!!!!
Gee. What an original question.
Because they think that the rules shouldn't apply to them, when the rules keep them from something that they want.
"It depends on what the meaning of the word is,is"-Bill Clinton 1998.I know that has nothing to do with the question,it just came to mind.

Yep, and they thought we'd view them as decent.
When it comes to dealing with people and families, not just statistics, it is no longer a clear cut definition. One must consider the ramifications.
I agree with you. A lot of people rant about equality and everything; I just know this. If my parents took the time, money, effort and trouble, to make sure they came to this country with us (their kids) in tow, so we could be here legally, free and clear without problems, then I will be damned if I give my rose sprinkled permission for amnesty to be given to law breakers coming here. Its not about rasism. Its about following the law.
=====> sore point.
It may be owing to the fact that our industrial and political leadership continue to redefine the word so as to prevent it from describing their conduct of corporate and Congressional affairs.
We know what the word "illegal" means.Like when I didn't come to a complete stop at a stop sign a cop told me that it was ILLEGAL, I broke the traffic laws.So what I ask is everybody says illegal is illegal, well not coming to a complte stop at a stop sign is illegal.Remember anybody who does anything illegal are criminals, even people who run stop signs and red lights and no illegal immigration is not way worse. I never heard of an illegal crossing the border hurt somebody because they were running to fast. But I did have my sister-in-law die Nov.2006 because somebody ran a red light and had a head on collision. So, why don't somebody tell me why it's not bad to run ared light, but it's so horrible to walk across the border. Both things are illegal and remember illegal is illegal.
Illegal is being accepted in order to serve interests of the people. Just like immigration, illegal is very hard to implement because people wanted to have a better life.
i guess we should have stayed in europe then huh?
illegal is just what socialty says it is.
it's called ignorance.
Great people did not become great by playing the cards they were dealt. They became great by making their own cards.
Juan lives with his 9 brothers and sisters. The females do not go to school, because they have to sell tortillas to support the family. The males go to school only until they can read. Juan has a roof, and food in his stomach. He goes to mass on Saturday Night. He is content.
One day, a man bursts into Juan's sleeping room, and shoots his sister. The police come and ask to be paid a bribe or they will charge Juan's brother with the murder of his sister. There is no money, so they cart off Juan's brother, and never look for the murderer.
Juan crosses the boarder to earn the money to free his brother from jail.
There are MANY stories like this...
We, Americans enjoy a level of freedom, which other cultures only dream about. Why should we not share this knowledge with the FEW people that take the initiative to better themselves?
Because they might not see the il in the front of legal. :(
Sad but many people suffer from being cross eyed.
immigration is a right of mankind. the only people in the US who are here legally are native americans. the rest of us are all immigrants. What makes YOU legal?
The laws to restrict flow of people are based upon economics and prejudice, not what is morally the right thing to do.
laws to be effective must represent a moral truth. the fact that it is impossible to enforce is partly due to the questionable nature of the morality of the law in the first place.
New immigrants tend to want to keep out "illegals" more than families who have been on the continent for the past 400 years.
As a matter of historical record, california was part of mexico not long ago in the 1800's The mexicans had ownership long before the anglos did...
So who exactly is the illegal?
Is that you dang your hot..!!!!!! we all do illegal things it dosen't define us and we can't judge people who want a better life for their families.
I am answering LeighAnn's statement. Your right , both things are illegal. But when we do something illegal we pay the price. When Mexicans come here as illegals, we as US citizens pay the price, not them.
And all the bull about our ancestors coming here many years ago, that is true. They came here and stood for hours at Ellis Island and filled out paperwork and came legally. They had pride, rolled up their sleeves and went to work. Didn't cost anyone anything in the way of welfare, food stamps, social security and the list goes on. Weren't bringing in drugs. The same cannot be said about the illegals today coming across the border. They are well educated long before they come on all the freebees here.
