What pisses you off the most about the illegal immigration issue?
What makes ME mad is when people start blaming undocumented immigrants of living off of welfare when every single illegal immigrant that I have met is really hard working. Most of the ones I have known come here to work so that they can make money for their families in whatever country they came from, and rarely anyone (with a few exceptions) gets welfare for their children. Illegal aliens WORK for their needs, and therefore contribute to the country's economy. The statistics can easily be manipulated.
Now express yourself not about my opinion but just what makes you angry of the whole situation. Again, don't comment on my post just what you think.

I just get aggravated that this has become such a huge issue. All of a sudden because the main stream media says its a problem the American public (sheep) all of a sudden are outraged.
There are much more important things going on. Remember that war we have going on in Iraq? Apparently that's not important anymore.
Hating Arabs is "out of style" now hating Mexicans is in and everyone is doing it.
Its just disgusting, I wish people would just wake up and quit feeling the need to hate some group of people, weather it be republicans, liberals, Mexicans, Arabs, etc.....

It makes me mad when immigration is all of a sudden an issue. People weren't so outraged ten years ago or even four years ago, but now since the republicans made an issue out of it to play politics people all of a sudden are outraged.
what pisses me off the most is that the corporations that hire these guys are really at the root of the problem.
if there was no way for an illegal to get work here there would not be this rising tide of illegals falling over themselves to come here.
i'd also like to know what has happened to law enforcement and why the laws regarding the hiring of illegals are ignored.
this is a security threat to our nation, and it is a documented FACT that al quaeda operatives cross the mexican border with desperate illegals.
i think it's high time that the corporations who routinely employ illegals started to pay the price.

What makes me sick is the way the Neo-Libs twist the immigration issue into their own agenda. Mexicans will suffer at the hands of the Neo-Libs the same way Palestinians will suffer at the hands of the PLO and their Arab 'brothers'.
Mexicans, with friends like the Neo-Libs, you do not need enemies. They are turning half the country against the immigrants by demanding that the immigrants these outrageous services and by prosecuting border guards.

It scares me that I am so two-faced. I believe illegal immigration is wrong, but I truly love every single one that I know.
Secondly, I think Congress needs to change the idea that everyone born here is automatically a citizen. If your Mama broke the law to get here, no, you are not a citizen.

we don't need a bunch of law breakers here. doing so makes it more difficult for people who want to come here legally. i'd rather have the legal immigrants. they have more to contribute to our society.
i'll agree with you that a lot of the illegals i know of are VERY hard workers. a lot or all of their money is sent back home. a lot of them go home themselves in a few years. i am ok with that. it's the ones who stay here just to have babies in the US to feed off the system is what annoys me as well.
I think the picture of them waving their flag in my country, while protesting our laws that they have broken by coming here undocumented. I have known many immigrants that come here legally from all over the world. I have worked along side of them. They did not step around somebody to get here. They did it the right way. These supposed illegal immigrants are illegal aliens as far as I am concerned and I think that they need to go home and come back when they can do it legally. Then they are immigrants.
i know quite a few illegal immigrants. they all have jobs. but guess what? SOME OF THEM GET WELFARE TOO. ya know why? their wives told me it's because the welfare office did not CONSIDER THEIR INCOME BECAUSE THEY'RE ILLEGAL.
i'm glad the ones you know are hard working. the ones i know are hard working too. BUT THEY STILL GET WELFARE! i don't know where all their money goes. i suspect back to mexico, but i'm not 100% positive.
the thing that makes me maddest? is that my own countrymen advocate these people come here illegally and breaking our laws. if their situation is so terrible, then can't they apply for refugee status?
ETA: CC Moody you need to get out more. my husband is black and he and his entire family are more pissed off about illegal immigrants than i am. quite a few of his friends are pretty mad about it, too.

What pisses ME off is that we were all immigrants, originally. Invaders, in truth. And, how arrogant, after saying "Give me your tired....etc." that now we're saying "Stay out!" to our immediate neighbors, who have been our friends....as far as I've observed.

here in Michigan the economy is horrible we desperately need jobs.i watched the show called Now on PBS and it showed that in Colorado Americans won't do $14.00 an hour construction jobs but the illegals will.i think that without the illegals people in some states wouldn't have homes built.

That the people really responsible for this problem are not being held responsible. I am speaking, of course , of the people who hire illegal aliens. If no one gave them jobs they would stop coming. But then you would have to pay alot more for everything. Especially food, clothing , housing and going out to eat and staying at motels. I heard on the radio how the cost of steak will go up because the meat processors lost their illegal workers and had to hire legal ones who make more money. So those of you who wanted the government to crack down on illegals cannot complain about the cost of steak going up.
It's not easy trying to just exist with welfare, so that doesn't really worry me much. What angers me is the complete sense of entitlement illegals demonstrate! Life is hard in many countries, but what gives them the right to jump ahead of others, flagrantly disrespect laws and culture, to take what they want?
Stolen identies, SSN's, and personal information should concern everyone. Even if, as claimed, this info is just used to obtain jobs, all it takes is one chunk of unreported income to make one hell of a mess out of a citizens life. Until you've had to deal with the aftermath of having someone use your info for personal gain, it is easy to blow off as a "non-issue".
Companies who hire illegals, often at slave wages, need to be severely fined and/or closed down. The mantra of illegals do the jobs americans won't is bull. I have family members who have worked in construction and processing all their lives. Many of them are unable to find steady work due to the large crews brought in from south of the border. (Although not every illegal is from Mexico, of course, but the proximity and ease of getting here are reflected in the numbers.)
Don't even get me started on the protests put on by illegal immigrants to fight for their "rights". Other than basic humanitarian rights, they don't have any!
they do get welfare for their baby's that are born here. i'm sick of my tax money going on them. they come over here and have their baby's and some go back to mexico. we are stuck paying the bill. they demand to much while being illegal. and when americans speek up we get threatened and called names. if they want to fight for their right's they need to do it in mexico or where ever they come from, we tired of the illegsls. we should not have to explain are self's to any illegal. and don't tell people what to say or what to answer!!! it also pissses me off when american mexicans stick up for illegals knowing they are breaking the law. if they stick up for illegals then they are communist to america.

What makes me mad about illegal immigration is that you get people who lump illegals and legals in the same catagory. No, my father came here legally, my mom is fully documented and Oh! A citizen since Sept 10, 2001 (easy enough to remember), oh and please, say my name right. Beleive me, it actually makes a helluva lot more sense using a 'ks' rather than a 'x'.
Oh, and inelementry school,it pissed me off to no end that there was always a Spanish speaking langauge helping whatever person to help whatever flood of kids coming in.But for other langauges, nada.Never mind you keep back kids who need help with learning the langauge but can't even supply something other than Spanish speaking.
The numbers are against you. $400,000,000 was spent on birth related health costs in California for illegals, just last year. That is just a small slice of the overall picture. The people you know may be different, but the impact on our services from those who are draining them is huge.
My biggest problem is that the drain on our education system is ruining our schools for our own children, and all effort and disproportionate funds are spent on the kids whose scores are at the bottom- which is not our kids.
