I'm an American and I want to move out of here, I want to live and work in Costa Rica but legally.?

many of my friends also Americans are moving to Costa Rica or the netherlands but how can I do it legally..... I just wanna get out of here, we have too much mess in the U.S, racism is huge here. I was thinking about Hawaii but is the same U.S system

Answer:
Ignore the love it or leave it crowd. Everyone likes/loves their country, but it's okay to want to experience life elsewhere. The US wouldn't exist as it is otherwise. Many people are very unhappy with the climate here in the US, but there are problems everywhere. See if you can move for a short time and see how you like it. It's true that many other countries are more tolerant in some ways, but some just haven't experienced the growing pains that the US has gone through(and is still going through). Racism is everywhere, and it doesn't have to do with skin color. Americans tend to think that race = skin tone. Look at Bosnia, look at Northern Ireland, look at the Turks and the Armenians, there is generational racism there that has gone on for hundreds of years and to you, they might all look the same. Many countries will have stereotypical ideas about you as an American, so keep that in mind. Everything is an adjustment.

But why not go for it? You only go around once, right? Some friends have gone to live in various places by teaching English (ESL) and other things. Can you take some (teaching) courses and get into a program for a specific country? Hawaii is not so tolerant of outsiders, and is very expensive, and the Netherlands is also pretty expensive. Many are moving to Argentina you may want to look into it. Whatever or wherever you choose, do your homework and immigrate legally, it will be a hassle, but it's better than the nightmare if you are caught. Also be aware that you willneed to play by that countries rules, and be prepared for the culture shock and the distance you will need to travel to see family etc....

Ask yourself if you really want to move, or if you are frustrated and are seeking a vacation from your troubles. But you will only know if you do it.
Bye.
you should leave now or sooner,AMERICA LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT
good luck to you,
but let me tell you, if you think it is better in Costa Rica, god bless you, and make sure if you need something, like a service on your house, you have a lot of time, it isn't going as fast as you used to, not even close.
yes, living is very cheap, for now.
the fun part is, there is more Americans living in Costa Rica, then Costa Rica living in the USA, so say hello to all of them
get a passport, a plane ticket, and don't let the door hit you in the back.
Move to luxembourg, it's the richest country in the world, according to GDP.

Whats with all these people hating you because you want to live somewhere else? Been watching too much Fox news......
I'm with you. I been checking it out and it doesn't sound easy. The state Department web page gives a lot of info. Share with me if you find out. Yes Hawaii is overdone, expensive and the locals don't like you. It is on the brink of a chaotic break down. Really expensive and lots of violent crime.
i think you should go and try this....but mainly because i guarentee you it will help you appreciate where you came from. there is nothing wrong with being sick of your country, and wanting to get out...and experiencing somewhere else is a great thing, but i really think you'll be surprised. just don't act too rashly, don't renounce your citizenship or some junk like that. just take a break for a while and then see how you feel after that...i think you'll have a whole new respect for the US.

what about belize?
