Should the US change to the metric system to make it easier for immigrants from Mexico to adapt?

Answer:
We proabably should change it to metric because EVERYBODY else uses metric. Have you been to Europe (or anywhere outside the US)?
This would make it easier for US to adapt if we got outside of our little bubble!
Ofcourse. While we are at it, McDonalds can start service some real Tacos and Budweiser should be droped for Corona as the stadard beer.
NO - this is america - let them learn to live here and adapt to our culture and language
If we go there - we learn their culture and food - so why can't they adapt to our culture
That is a really good idea. Everyone else uses it.
We've tried that before - it'll never happen!
Troll!

Anywho, um, no. Remember which country you are in buddy. You are here, you need to play by our rules (I need to get a copy of this to DC because obviously they missed this lesson in civics class).
And why don't we change to Spanish as the official language at the same time?
The whole world, and all scientists use the metric system...

It might be time for americans to adapt to what is the international standard instead of keeping a system that is impractical.

Now I am not saying it should be done for mexican immigrants, it should just be done because it would be the logical thing to do.
No- That's why America is called the Melting Pot. All cultures come here and 'Melt" into one. Generations of immigrants have come here - they have learned English, our culture and our systems of measurements etc.
No, the US just needs to go entirely to crap to make it easier for the Mexicans to adapt.
Back in the 70's supposedly America was going to go metric.
I was taught the metric system in elementary school because we (as a nation) were going to convert. Obviously that conversion never happened.
The metric system really is a lot easier to use.
The US should change to the metric system to join the rest of the modern world.
I'm sorry but only a few countries like the US don't use the metric system. and why is that? well for instance the US likes to make thing really simple for their citizens. Maybe the US government should change to the metric system. WELCOME TO THE CLUB!

Three countries use non-metric measurement systems; Liberia, Myanmar, and the United States.
There is no reason for the citizens of the US to have to change anything to adapt to those who want to come here to live. That includes learning their languages to make it easier for them, thats not how it works.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
We tried that, remember back in the seventies? The only thing that stuck was the two-liter bottle of soda. If anything, Mexico should convert to our system, they depend on dollars as it is. No, we do not need to convert to the metric system and we do not need to start calling soccer football.
Virtually the entire rest of the world uses the metric system. The US tried, and many of us who went to school in the 70s and early 80s learned both. The metric system is logical in ways that our measurement isn't-why not use units of ten, which can be easily multiplied or dividied. rather than eight or twelve, which are much harder numbers to work with in your head. It's not about Mexicans or any other culture...but about simplicity.
Nope, but thanks for coming up with another reason why Mexicans who refuse to assimilate should be deported.

Bill Gates just wants to sell more Windows operating systems to Mexicans. Don't think for one minute that he cares about poor Mexicans, he wants you to come here make money and buy computers. He's the world's richest "greedy-takeover" dork.
