Duel Citizenship?

Im an american that just recieved duel a duel citizenship to croatia .... what advantages or disadvantages do I know have as a duel citizen....thanking you all in advance

Answer:
Dual citizenship is NEVER a bad thing for you! I have had dual American/Canadian citizenship (born in USA and naturalized Canadian at the age of 21) and it is the best of both worlds. Anyone who would tell you otherwise is just jealous You can choose to live and work in either country whenever you want! Depending on the rules of the countries, you may be able to pass on dual citizenship to your children. Who knows what the future holds? This could be a huge gift to your children one day. One of my two children also has dual citizenship and he is glad of it. My second child, because of the US rules, did not qualify for US citizenship, unfortunately. It is worth looking into for your children.
When in USA, you are an American. When in Croatia, you are a Croatian but you have to apply for two passports.
You just lost a lot of rights. Bad move.
Well you if Croatia, required you to get drafted into there military when you are 18 or what ever that could be bad.

My stepson had a duel citizenship from the U.S and Greece. But when he turns 18 in order to keep his citizenship in Greece he must serve 4 years in the Greek military...
