Is it true that an alien who becomes a US citizen, can then bring into this country, all his family, cousins,?
Answer:
He can bring his parents, children and siblings. The process takes from a few months to about 12 years for siblings. No aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, in-laws. They do not automatically become citizens, they get permanent residence, then they need to wait 5 years and pass an exam and English proficiency and pay a fee and have a criminal background check, then they can become US citizens.
No.
No. He may be able to sponsor ONE person, and that one sponsorship may take years to bring actual residency to fruition.
not exactly, but they have every right of a person born here with the exception of one, they can not become the president of the United States.
Edit note; All of these people that you are talking about coming here still have to have a visa. I was a US service man living in Germany and married a German girl, I was sent back to the United States and had to wait for my wife to have her visa approved for her and our child to join me (8 mos.)
NO!!!!!!! That's a lie that the illegal alien criminals tell. They have to apply like everyone else. That includes a SPOUSE!!!
yes...and you can live tax free for seven years...say your thanks to the bush administration
Not unless they have a lot of money. Money fixes most things in the US.
Yes. but time to take them here is different.
Husband/wife, children, biological parents-> 1-3 years
Brothers, sisters -> 10 -13 years.
cousins, uncle, ants -> no, cannot take them here.
If they come here, they need to apply for US citizen, But the time allowed for applying is different, too.
That's right,so instead of the 20-30 million illegals we ALREADY have here, that number will QUADRUPLE!!!
Yes and No, first of all that person wouldn't be an Alien any more, that Person is a U.S Citizen just like you or me.
they can bring their wife and kids and and they would be they would be legal residents. then they also have the right to bring their parents, they have to wait a bit longer, not cousins..
What are you going on about your surrounded by them,
A asians
M mexican's
E English
R Romans(italians)
I Irish
C Canadian's
A And anyone else that wants to live here!
No, they can bring parents, spouses, children and brothers sisters but there are long waiting lists. Filipinos bringing in a brother or sisterm the waiting list is 22 years long! after they get here with green cards, they have to wait five years before applying for US citizenship
Gosh people are really misinformed here. Yes This person can sponsor Brothers/sister/parents. It takes up to 10-15 years, but once they receive st\tus, all thir family receive.
E.g. brother gets his GC, than his spouse and siblings are antitlee to "Join in benefits", basically the sam GC, only no wait her (Less then a year).
Linda- Anglo -Saxon: You should have put africans somewhere too. May be last A???..
not cousins, and no one 'automatically' becomes a citizen. However, Citizens can petition to have family come, and in due course of time, background checks permitting, they will be let in, under current law.
yeah, and also their cousins neighbors haha
they can't get citizenship automatically, however and unfortunately,...yes, they can bring their relatives over here.
It takes over ten years for any of their relatives to become citizens in some cases. thats why i crossed over, i tried the legal process and it was going to take 6 years. I couldn't wait that long, my family couldn't wait that long.
yes. They won't have automatic citizenship. But they will be on the path to citizenship and it will happen.
not completely true, they may bring blood relative on Green Card.
