I do not want illegals here at all. They break our laws and refuse to learn our language. There are no excuses out there that can justify that.

Let me warn you that you are going to get many answers claiming that they only hate illegals, but you can see the anti-Latino feeling when they start whining about Pizza restaurants accepting Pesos in Texas. They don't ever say anything about Canadian money in New York, but just because Pesos are from Mexico, they reject it. It's sad.

It's not that Americans do not want Mexicans here, it's they a) want to make them be here legally and b) change the way people come into the country.
The problem arises in that people are seeing different solutions to the same problem.
Another problem is a bigotry towards the race in general but I don't think that plays as big overall in the issue of "Mexicans coming to America" although it may sway some people one way or another.
And you're right, we were all immigrants at some point. Historically ethnic groups have been discriminated against when there was a mass influx of them coming to America. It began with African Americans, and the Irish experienced it as well as the Italians and the Japanese etc. It some sick way, it's the Mexicans' turn.
Many Mexicans want to be here legally. You might get a lot of responses of them not wanting to pay taxes. Let me repeat- a majority of them want to be here legally and pay taxes and reap the benefits of being an American citizen and work hard to be equals with natural citizens.
I think most Americans would agree with my answer: Americans do not hate Mexicans. Americans do hate: ILLEGAL ALIENS, that is ANYONE who enters America ILLEGALLY and disregard the LAW. As far as Mexicans or any other spanish speaking people, every other population of immigrants in US history has learned ENGLISH as their primary language and used their native language as a link to their heritage. Also, just because America was a destination for immigrants and a melting pot, does not infer that America can sustain unchecked numbers of people coming in forever. The common sense idea here is that to survive, America must curb ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION NOW!

At Ellis Island the Immigrants had to pass medical test, to make sure that they weren't bringing any deceases with them, Is that a bad thing?? When you travel to certain Countries abroad you need to make sure that you have certain vaccines to not only protect you, but those in the Country you are going to....Anything wrong with that??

ok first ppl have to realize why mexicans try and sneak into our country. it has nothing to do with stealing healthcare or our jobs, have you seen mexico recently? have you really gone into the heart of mexico and seen the poverty ridden towns? no, villages? Mexico is dirt poor, the economy sucks, the government is corrupt, and the money is worth next to nothing. now compare it to the U.S. there is no healthcare in mexico! the reason many sneak over is cuz we onlyallow a certain amount of immigrants from that country. im angry that there are so many inconsiderate degenerates that would refuse to give anyone freedom to enter this country. ship THEM over to Mexico for a week and see how they would like being in that hellhole.

I am a born natural US citizen, as many others in Y!A are, and we are ALL documented. Through birth certificates, social security numbers, and US census.

The problem is illegal immigration. You understand the difference between illegal aliens and immigrants? We ARE a nation of immigrants, LEGAL immigrants. We are not people that stole into the country and stole taxpayer funded services, peoples jobs and property. Illegal aliens rob this country every day of millions of dollars and 12 Americans are murdered in this country by illegals every day. That's the problem. 90% of illegal aliens in this country are Hispanic. Of those, 80% are MEXICANS!
I am only the second generation on my father's side to be born in the US. My grandmother came to the US at the age of 15, by herself with nothing except a letter of introduction to a distant relative. My grandfather was only a few years older and also came alone. They learned English, studied American history and became citizens. They did not wave foreign flags and demand their "American rights" in foreign languages. Immigrants, like my grandparents, want to become Americans and make America an even better place. Aliens, especially the illegal ones, are just here for the benefits and do not care if their actions hurt or help the United States.
It's not a matter of 'not wanting' Mexicans/Hondurans/Puerto Ricans, etc. in this country. It's a matter of NOT WANTING illegal criminals with no respect for America who rape the system and possibly raping of American citizens.
There are too many. We have a limit - and already it is very high. Poor people can't afford to pay enough taxes to cover the $10,000 per child per year education costs in California, and the money is being taken from our own children. Programs are cut and schools are failing.
They have no right to ruin our children's lives to illegally improve the lives of their children at our expense. Legal immigrants are invited, but illegals are stealing what isn't theirs. When most of our ancestors came over there were no subsidized services. When my latest ancestors came they donated land with their neighbors to build a church and a school, and passed the hat for a teacher and a preacher.
Don't try to pretend that coming and stealing what we pay for from our children and our sick is anything like that.
As for working, we are subsidizing the low pay employers enjoy with our tax payments. Let them pay what it takes to get Americans. Maybe Americans will stop boycotting Tyson's chicken and start 'buying American' again when the globalist American employers remember their loyalty to American workers.

First off as a Nation we are not all immigrants. I was born in the United States, I am a citizen. Now I am not saying only people who are born in the U.S. are the only ones who should be allowed to stay here. There are other legal ways to become a citizen. Most Mexicans are illegal immigrants. They take American jobs away from people who deserve to have a job. Our unemployment rate would be substantially lower if illegal immigrants weren't taking jobs away. There are people out there that sell them other people's Social Security numbers so the can obtain a job. I can't tell you how many people I work with whose name was Jose for a few years then all of a sudden changes to Marco or Juan. If they want to be here fine but in order to be accepted they need to become legal U.S. citizens or they need to go back where they came from.
