However, the costs that come along with educating those children has been the subject of debate recently, with residents and school officials searching for answers.

It is an outrage. We’re screwed because the courts are “legislating” their own social agenda on us. Where does it say in the constitution that Americans are required to treat illegal criminals with all of the same privileges as citizens? It is virtually turning many major American cities, such as Los Angeles and Miami, into ‘foreign’ cities.
In addition to the ‘free’ education, medical and social services costs there is also the high cost of prison incarceration for illegals. In many of the states with high illegal immigrant populations the prison populations of those states consist of one third to one half illegal immigrants who are convicted for robbery, violent crimes and/or gang activity, rapes, sexual assaults and other felonies. Add to that, court costs and free public defenders. One researcher estimated that illegals in America murder 12-13 persons every day, not to mention the rapes, assaults and robberies.
I was personally told by a Los Angeles County judge that when the illegal convicts who have served their ‘prison time’ are being released they call ICE to come pick them up so that they can be deported. Unbelievably, ICE never even bothers to show up so, as a result, the illegal immigrant convicts must be released right out on the street. Is it any wonder violent crime is skyrocketing? Do you even hear any politicians talking about the number of illegal ‘convicts’ in this country?

Illegal alien criminals are costing CA an estimated $8 BILLION per year. It's amazing but the deficit for the state is also around $8 BILLION.
I get so pissed off when the pro-illegals CLAIM that the ILLEGAL alien criminals pay taxes - yea right. Besides, if they actually filed a tax return we, the taxpayers, would have to fork over even more money because they would probably qualify for EIC.
DEPORT THESE CRIMINALS AND JAIL THE EMPLOYERS!

In many Los Angeles schools, the EL student population is 25%. That means 25% are not performing which drags down the overall performance of the school. Most will drop out of high school and never go to college.

Yeah that's all good, but still what if those parents can't pay those taxes? They aren't going to deny that child education. They are not citizens, so, therefore you can't track them down. It's basically a waste of time. I think we should just cuff em and ship them out.

I guess I am confused with the fundamental issue of why is an illegal anything getting anything from this country? I thought that the phrase "illegal" answered all the questions. I do not believe that this country should provide any benefits to those individuals who have not entered this country in a legal manner. I have heard all the die-hard, pro-illegal aliens carp that this country is the melting pot of the world and we should not keep these people out. However, they seem to miss the point that those individuals that made up the melting pot of America came here through ports of entry like Ellis island and other "legal" ways. Illegal aliens are just that "illegal aliens" and should not provided with any services provided to citizens of this nation. Try to get into any other country as an "illegal alien" and see how long you get to stay there and not be imprisoned or deported.
Just a tid bit. Apparently, someone sat down and figured out that illegal immigrants cost each and every tax paying citizen in the USA, $1,100.00 a year in dollars and cents.
Add to that the chaos of crime, drugs and the confusion of a life spattered with non citizen people here primarily to take, not conform and compromise and support but rather to engorge themselves on the welll doing of others by operating as a kinda second class nearly slave labor type, who vilafies the meaning of the word citizen and patriot.
I was involved in school district budget planning back in the 80's. The problem with how to pay for the education of children of criminally-hired foreign workers was related to the tolerance in communities of hiring non-tax paying workers and paying them poverty wages in order to avoid having to pay tax-paying American workers a legal and decent wage. In other words, businesses ( and the bigots who tolerated the formation and sustaining of a second-class worker class in their communities), that criminally-hired foreign workers were screwing our schools. Conservatives and Republicans fought tooth and nail against measures back then to federally supplement school districts with funding for the children of illegally hired children. It's public record.
