Can US citizens sue the US government if a US citizen is seriously hurt or killed by an illegal?

You can only sue the government if congress allows it. Can’t remember what it is called off the top of my head at the moment - just know that it can’t be done.
Trust me, I honestly wished we COULD. Maybe THAT would get the government into enforcement of the immigration laws like they should have been all along.
There are people killed every day - the ones that are the sole support of their family by illegals. Look at the police officers alone. Living in Texas, I hear such cases every day on the news. Cases are literally so large a number I wouldn’t even hazard a guess as to the actual numbers.
But if someone had enough money and knew how to grab public attention and the media - sure would make for an interesting bit of news that would have people talking - and then possibly getting more involved with what their politicians are doing about immigration and the illegal problem.
I am not a lawyer, but that sounds legit to me, especially if it was a class action suit. If someone could start it I know a few who would join.
You can sue anyone, but the question is will you win. I highly doubt it.
Maybe if the issue continues to grow and affect our citizens on a daily basis.
There is an old saying about fighting city hall, you can't win. They have way more money & resources than you or your attorney will ever have access to, look what happened to the border patrol agents.
