Which immigrants.
They were more like your luxury liner cruise ships. All inclusive, gambling, food, cocktails, showgirls etc.
I would say pretty bad these "traffic" drivers take advantage of these people for outrageous prices and horrible conditions
Poor for most willing immigrants, death ships for slaves.
Probably a little crowded and some sickness.

The Mayflower was state of the art in its time.
Which immigrants and which ships/boats?
The Pilgrims spent most of their time on the Mayflower seasick. The majority of our forebears emigrated to the US in cramped, below decks (steerage) quarters ton sailing vessels and later, steamships in uncomfortable and unsanitary conditions--usually to be greeted by the minority of people who were bigots and thought all immigrants were inferior (despite the fact that their own forbears were also immigrants).
Not a lot has changed in the last 100 years!
The Mayflower that the pilgrims came over was small and crowded, was short on food and water and it took weeks if not months to cross the Atlantic. Many people died during the passage.
The sailing ships of the 18th and 19th century were bigger and a little better but not by much, especially those that transported slaves from Africa. The steamships of the late 19th and early 20th century were much more humane although being in steerage (3rd class) was no picnic (remember scenes of steerage in the movie Titanic?).
Which ones? The Mayflower? (Pretty damned small.) The boat people from VietNam? (Probably wished they were on the Mayflower.) The flotilla from Cuba when Castro opened the prisons and mental hospitals and sent the inmates here?
Which immigrants?
Which boats?
