Why noone gets the difference between immigration now and long ago.?
But 200 years ago people come here, and work to make it a better place. There was no nothing.

Because that is their last argument, that they think that they are partially right about, not realizing that immigrants were in fact welcomed and formed America as an industrial nation. We didn't have the border laws that we have now. THey refuse to see that, and think they have a valid point, and you know you cant tell those liberals anything.

The thing that changed with oportunity, is we were in a decalate land. We thought we couyld never fill up the whole contanent. So the smallest thing ( mining for gold) was concidered bettering ones life.
Now the mountians are empty. there are no more gold rushes, we sucked 'em dry.

500 nations of native tribes equates to nothing? *smirk* There were no immigrants 200 years ago, they were foreign invaders. Your bias might see a vast difference. My bias sees no difference between the two invasions, since both groups of invaders negatively affect the way of life of the people that were born here.
Prince......I'll take your ship example. Remember the Titanic? They didn't have enough life boats for all that were on board because they thought it would never sink. The rich got life preservers and first shot at the boats. They settled in nice and comfy on the first boats. Maybe 6 when it could hold alot more. Later as things got more desperate they filled them full and probably risked their safety by adding a couple more. But as things got more and more desperate...people tried climbing into already full boats that were already pushed to the limit and caused more people to loose their lives. Some did join together and did a little shifting and tried to save as many as they could.....but they couldn't save everybody because there wasn't enough life boats to begin with. What? Now decide that the old lady could die or toss a couple kids off or dump the rich guy to save the dish washer? Fortunatly or unfortunatly the cold water brought death before people decided who should live and who should die.
Who's fault is it? As it stands right now it seems there's too many wanting to sink the already full life boats and claiming it's their fault. They're already wanting to wipe out the whites and anyone else who gets in their way. They're already throwing overboard the very people who squished on in to make room for them. But there's a limit and I am not going to risk my life for some jerk screaming at me on how once he gets aboard he's going to kill me. I mean we're already in a no guarentee situation. I don't know if the big ships are gonna make it before we all freeze to death. I'll toss you my life preserver and take my chances that far......but I'll be darned if I'm going to just jump on in for someone who just screams vile hate and demands. Swim further and jump on another boat where there's 6 self centered rich people floating comfortably in their fur coats. Scream your hate to the people who said Titanic would never sink and lied about the fact that there's not enough life boats for everybody.
Fair? No....but life isn't fair. There are no guarentees to a life of wealth and riches for anyone and it doesn't ENTITLE you to take it from people who have worked for it.
I get pissed when they call it "illegal immigration." NO SUCH THING. Immigration is when people come here LEGALLY, work towards citizenship, learn English, and benefit the community.
