More at link.MEXICO CITY – Mexico plans to begin an aggressive lobbying effort in the United States to secure an immigration reform agreement, the country's new ambassador in Washington said Tuesday. Mexican consulates in the United States will talk with state and federal lawmakers, business chambers, civic organizations and “all actors of U.S. society” who support comprehensive immigration reform, Arturo Sarukhan said.

“There are few matters so important to the future of this country,” Sarukhan told reporters in Mexico City before departing for Washington.

The ambassador said Mexico has a brief window to convince Washington to approve immigration reforms before campaigning begins for the 2008 U.S. presidential election.

Answer:
NO!!!!!
Mexico has NO business interferring with the affairs of OUR country!!!! Too bad we don't have a government with enough huevos to tell them to BUTT OUT!!!!
Mexico needs to mind their own affairs and stay the h#ll out of American politics. Period!
No, Mexico needs to take care of other things, like its own poor. I'd like to hear from Mexico and those from Mexico, why is it always, what can others do for us. It just seems that Mexico always has its hand out.
Mexico has no right to be lobbying for American immigration reform. Mexico only wants a liberal immigration policy to benefit them so they can export all their unemployment to the US instead of addressing why there is so much unemployment in Mexico in the first place. They should be solving their own problems, not converting their problems into ours.
No but I think the Mexican police should turn over coyotes that jump the border with 20 illegals, and then escape from the police. That way when the coyotes are saying haha you can't catch me, the Mexican police tackle them from behind with tasers (I wish I could watch this). Then the Americans will pay them $20 each coyote they turn over. And we send them to hard American justice.

THat would be the good stuff ;-)
no mexico needs to either try to help and get thier own people back to thier country or butt out
Of course they should. They are lobbying for benefits for their people, here.

I only wish our own government were so loyal to us.

The point is that our government should not allow members to be lobbied by a foreign government.
