Was the Alamo really over run by Santa Anna's army, or was it...?

...over run by illegal aliens because it was our first DSHS welfare office? Viva La Cheese line!

Answer:
"Do you all know why there was only 5000 Mexicans at the battle of the Alamo.? "

The remaining Mexicans of Santa Anna's army were too busy trying to trick out and turn the cannons into low riders.
Actually, the illegals were in the Alamo!
No it was a conspiracy orchestrated by G.W.Bush to gain control of his Texas Ranch
I don't remember the Alamo
I beg to differ, the Alamo defenders were a cross section of Americans defending the rights of the Republic of Texas...Oh yeah and there were some individuals from Mexico there too. All fought valiantly in the face of overwhelming odds and defended the government cheese to the last man.
little eccy, did you know most of the Mexican soldiers were Mexican Indians.
"Do you all know why there was only 5000 Mexicans at the battle of the Alamo.?"

Because they only had 1 car.
Possibly..but I heard a rumor that Santa Anna told his army it was actually half price taco night.
No way man!

72.7% of the cannon brigade had their cannons impounded for not carrying the legally required minimum amount of insurance.
The Alamo was in Mexico, the Texans had been allowed to live in the State of Texas by the Mexican government over a 30 year period. The Texans didn't want to be part of Mexico so they declared independence, the Mexican government under Santa Anna fought and won the battle of the Alamo, later Santa Anna was defeated by an American army at the battle of San Jacinto, and Texas had won their independence, and became the lone star State.
Sadly it sees we have forgotten the Alamo.
That was in 1836. Texas was largely a wilderness area and had no government welfare . It was a large geographical area that consisted of several Mexican colonies. In 1835, President Santa Anna abolished the Mexican Constitution and installed a new one that was that was very unfriendly to the colonies. The citizens of Texas (both speakers of English and Spanish) rebelled. The Alamo was an old San Antonio mission that was defended by men who counted in vain on General Sam Houston for rescue. Less than 300 Texans were left to defend the Alamo against Santa Anna's army of 2,000 plus. Commander in Chief Santa Anna was able to slay all but seven of the defenders in battle and those seven were executed immediately after capture. The war chant of "Remember The Alamo" was aimed at General Houston as much as General Santa Anna.
