How many Americans are AGAINST illegal immigration?

I would hope most are. There's a reason the word "illegal" is in the phrase. By jumping the border they are breaking a law and should be turned back. They have every right to be here through propper channels of course, but they don't have the right to get here by breaking the law. So, like many, I'm all for immigration, just against illegal immigration.

The majority of Americans are against illegal aliens and open borders, that is the reason it have been so hard for President Bush, Ted Kennedy and the rest of pro illegals to give them amnesty. I would say that more than 60% are against illegal immigration and open borders. This is a war between the American citizens against the big interest of America, ACLU, La Raza, the Democratic/ liberals, pro illegals, Mexican government, etc. and we the American citizens must win to keep our Nation as we know it. The only weapon we have against these powerful people are our votes, next coming elections and the politicians know it. So be very careful, because we are watching YOU !!

I am a US CITIZEN...I worry more about the wages of those that build our country than I do those who come here illegally.
We should all be against ILLEGAL immigration. Unfortunately, the current Administration is not. This Administration refuses to enforce laws passed by the Congress to enforce our immigration laws. The Justice Department under Alberto Gonzalez, offered immunity to a Mexican drug smuggler for his testimony against two Border Patrol Agents. I think Alberto Gonzalez belongs in jail! He has lied to Congress about the case involving the BP Agents.
Most American, myself included, have no problem with legal immigrants. But we need to have control over our borders. We need to make sure that immigrants assimilate, another thing that our politicians are discouraging. This is America. Immigrants are welcome here (legal), but English is our language. Assimilate, or go back to where you came from.
i approve of the immigration, More people=more workers. If you have more workers your nation can produce more and opens up more job oppertunities.

I am against illegal immigration, but for legal immigration that is definitely well-controlled and monitored. I am against citizenship being given to a baby born in the US unless at least one of the parents is a legal US citizen. I am against illegal immigrants having access to ANY social benefits/freebies, including our education system, medical system, and welfare. I am against illegal immigrants being allowed to protest and march in our streets demanding rights in our country and I think they should be rounded up and deported when they do this. I am FOR all of our immigration laws being strictly and consistently enforced!

I definately am. It goes way beyond just crossing the border illegally and it's tearing this country in two.
I am against illegal immigration and my background is in immigration law. Oh wait I just asked for a show of hands(we are having Sunday brunch at my sisters house) And if you count the 4 dogs who hate illegals there are 18 of us here who are against the illegals invading our Country, and the dogs votes count because they are American Pitbull Terriers!
Oh wait now the kids are getting involved too add 5 more votes for a grand total of 23. (The kids claim their school is being taken over by the illegals.)
Edit: You guys are going to love this! The 26 yr old anchor baby neighbor is against illegal immigration too, and both her parents are illegals! She claims her mom wants to move back to Mexico because she misses her family and her overbearing illegal husband refuses to let her go, so their daughter figures if her parents get deported, her mother will get what she wants, and the 26 yr olds 15 yr old gang banging anchor baby brother will have to go with them, so she will get want she wants too!

Not enough obviously. I, for one, am against illegal immigration, mainly because it is ILLEGAL!!! But also because it is unfair to everyone else who did what they were suppose to to get into america.
I am against illegal immigration and I believe that a majority of Americans are against it. However, I do not believe that most recognize the impact it is having on our country. Everyone should view the video "Immigration by the Numbers" to see some of the current and future impact.
Last year we reached a population of 300 million, years before we would have given normal birth rates, death rates, and legal immigration. Now, the state of California must build a new school each day just to meet the educational demands of the number of children of illegal immigrants. Can other border states be far behind?
We have laws against hiring and housing illegal immigrants, but these laws are not vigorously enforced. And when they are, the media focuses on the hardship being experienced by these law breakers rather than praising those enforcing our laws.
We do not need to spend a lot of money on fences at the border. If there are no jobs or housing for illegal immigrants, they will return home.
Obviously many of our leading politicians, leading businessmen, and the media are not against illegal immigration. Otherwise, it would not be a problem.
I am. I think that there is a right way & a wrong way to do things. Starting off your life in your new country by breaking it's laws isn't a good thing. My great grandparents immigrated legally & weren't given any preferential treatment because they had trouble speaking english. They both had to go thru quarentine @ Ellis Island because they came from Austria in the early 1900s. They had to learn the language & had no benefits from the government. They worked their a**es off & are rolling over in their graves over the newer people who have an overwhelming since of entitlement.

Mexican illegals in the U.S. enrich the Mexican economy by sending a major portion of their U.S. job earnings back to their needy relatives in their homeland. The U.S., by allowing this to be done, contributes greatly to the Mexican economy and the comfort level of many of it's families.
In summation, I would have to say that, yes, I am against illegal immigration because America, so far, is batting .000 in this game of international beisbol.....................
I am against illegal immigration. Those I am talking about are the Mexicans who choose to cross the border and refuse to get a proper VISA. They refuse to speak English, although that is the major language of America and they get medicaid benefits that I must pay for. Get them out and get it done today!

im not cause we made a right called the 14th amendment which prohibited any state from denying to any person within its jurisdiction the euqal potection of the law so basicially your the ones who said "equal rights to all" no matter what
