I want to apply for my first uk passport can i send photocopies of any documents with my application?
Answer:
u can send the photo-copies if u like.
but i think u'll find they'll only accept the originals.
send it recorded delivery, coz paying more 4 ur security is better than losing all that important paperwork.
i had my passport returned recently with all the relevant documents, it was delivered 2 my door, by a nice lady who flashed me a card.
i had 2 sign 4 it.
which i found comforting, is the Establishment taking our national security seriously, at last?
-sigh-
:(
No. Originals only.
no photocopies originals only. I find it's best to apply on line then they send you a completed form you just have to sign. it saves having it returned or paying post offfice to check it beforeyou send it.
no originals only the passport office are really good and will get them back to you witin a week
Everything you ned to know about UK passports.
Photocopies are not acceptable. Send the original documents by "Special Delivery".
No, you have to send originals
No they all have to be Original copys
You can send in p/copies of your docs if they are certified by a solicitor, but that's just hassle. If you're worried about your docs getting lost in the post you could send your application in via Royal Mail Special Delivery or submit the application at a Post Office.
At section 1 of the application form tick the box requesting your docs are returned to you by courier (costs £3 more.) This way your docs are tracked both to and from the Passport Office.
NO PHOTO COPYS
They have to have the originals to verify you are you and not someone who made copies.
No. They will not accept photocopies.
