Legal vs Ilegal Immigration?
It is not too hard to understand that all kind of services and products are getting more expensive here and that good paying jobs have and will leave by the millions.
Is Ross Perot all over again, while he pointed the attention to the "giant sucking sound (lol, hard working Mexicans and other immigrants taking a few hundred jobs mostly low skilled or creating their own small businesses)" was in fact a little "hiss" compared to all the jobs (and cutting edge technology) that was silently being shipped to China and India and other places by the millions, nothing wrong with that, as a business man I understand those pressures and these countries are doing many things right.
Millions of good jobs in manufacturing and services are now gone for good and the US is loosing competitiveness for not being so welcoming to the best hardworking people from all over the world that only want to move here to do the best they can to grow this country's economy.
The most expensive labor and brain power gets here in the US, the more companies will leave in a heartbeat.
US will loose competitiveness and the few US products left will have a hard time competing in the world markets.
Now do we want to kick out and prevent these hard working peaceful people that for the majority share the same religious, moral, family and other values with the US? Yes let's do that so the best paid jobs (or the capital to afford them) leave to other nations. Let's make those nations stronger, those places where culture and political views may be a lot different and more conflictive with the US views where potential conflicts can arise easily while the world's power is shifted to them. Maybe the world will look at them better, at least they are not building fences to keep their best neighbors out or kicking them out.
Will future history books tell the story of how did the US got to be the strongest nation at some point in time? Wasn’t it because it welcomed the hard working, the brightest and all of those with desire of becoming the best? And then what happened? Why they did away with all those blessings?
Now, do those senators have a clue when they say; "we do welcome those that immigrate the Right Way”? NO, they don't. There is no such thing as a "Right Way" for many of us. Ask me, I have done everything right by the book and I'm about to be expelled from here after close to 30 yrs of red tape in immigration limbo with contradictory laws and obsolete procedures that are unfair (there are many holes and if you are valuable and do things right still may not make it). I really hope that not one of my employees or coworkers about to loose their job is a parent of all of you posting against immigrants. Me, I'll manage anywhere, I just got to really like this country and many of their citizens, thank god the majority that I know still are some of the greatest most welcoming peoples I have met and are very opposed to what their system is doing to us. Unfortunatelly my kids will have to leave their country.
Answer:
I'M A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN AND I AGREE WITH YOU
I WORK IN A WOOD SHOP AND 60PERCENT OF EMPLOYEES ARE MEXICAN AND I'M GLAD TO HAVE THEM
WE HAVE LOST SOME BECAUSE OF BEING ILLEGAL AND IT WAS A GREAT LOSS TO US BECAUSE THEY WHERE IN JOBS THEY DID WELL AND HARD TO REPLACE
Illegal is illegal, go to an attorney. You have broken our laws.
The Us will loose nothing and will continue to compete perectly fine without illegals....thank you very much. So long!
I understand, such circumstances are beyond debatable. Why can't we live where we want to live? Do business where we want to do business? Inadvertently our world is becoming a prison.
I face a similar situation, your not alone.
So, what you are saying, is that breaking the law should be okay, because others benefit from it?
Well, from an armed robbery, the criminals benefit. Their partners as well, and most likely the jeweler, the car dealer, the drugs dealer etc. who get the money from them.
Does that mean that it must be legalized? No.
The law is not obsolete. Not in the US, not in Europe - just see the amount of poor and unschooled people flooding in, that are holding up their hand for (financial assistance).
This assistance gets paid in part by taxes i pay. That means the illegals COST me money. I have no problem with supporting people in need, as long as they are not criminals or lawbreakers.
If you want to be legal - hire an attorney and see what you can achieve. Otherwise - it was your own choice to break the law of the US - and therefore your own responsibility. and not the US causes loss of jobs - it is YOU who broke the law in the first place.
Sorry, but i cannot help but think that you are trying to justify your actions in an incorrect, and insensitive manner.
Yours is a sad story. I feel for you. If you truely tried to do things the right way, the legal way for 28 years, then someone needs to step up and help you. The problem is that their are alot of people who have been doing things the wrong way, the illegal way. It is because of this that we need a reformed immigration policy. We need to stream line the process so that those who are trying to go throught the system the right way are helped and those who are illegally here are deported. We need to close our boarders. We need to deal with the people who are already here in a way which is within the confines of the law. Then , after that is done, we need to have a legal immigration policy and a zero tolerance policy towards illegal activity of all kinds including illegal immigration. To the company who you work for, I feel zero sympathy. If they knew you were illegal and hired you anyway, then they need to be fined and fined heavily. I am sorry if that hurts those others who work for that company and are legla, but the law must be followed. That is my opinion for what it is worth.
You can't live where you want to live because where you want to live is where I live, and there are rules here. My forefathers didn't fight, die and sacrifice to found a country that will just be given over to any infestation. And frankly, that's what illegals are. Infestations...just like roaches. And in latter days, they have bred and multiplied and become boisterous and loud, proclaiming rights they do not have. And their own country treats my countrymen like criminals. We are not nearly afforded the things we offer visitors here. But you are nolonger visitors. You are nolonger welcome here. You are criminals and I will treat you as such as long as you infest my country and prey on my countrymen. I am in management, and trust me when I say, I turn your kind away on a daily basis, without ceremony and a smile on my face. What's wrong with YOUR country? Over run with corruption? Why don't YOU do something about it, instead of running away to someone elses country and ruinning it. Mexico will always be 3rd world scummy and untrustworthy, until the people take control of the dirty goverment that robs it's own people.
28 years ago you broke the law and entered this Country ILLEGALLY. What do you want me to do, break out a mini-violin?
Sorry, but as heart-breaking you feel your story maybe, it doesn't change the fact the fact that you are a criminal. You new the consequences before you made the decision to come here. You made yourself an illegal criminal.
Dont let the door hit you on the way out criminal
There is no such thing as illegal immigration, immigration is a LEGAL process. Shame on you for putting yourself and your family in the position your currently in.
"I have done everything right by the book" actually no you havent, step one enter the country LEGALLY. You are such a fool. I applaud the immigration authoritys for finally giving you the boot.
I have no sympathy,sorry.
