How do i get a H-1B visa. i have a bachelors from a US university?
Answer:
You will need to get hire by a company in the U.S. This company will file an I-129, petition for an non immigrant worker. If it gets approved you will be given an H1B visa at the U.S. Consulate/Embassy at your home country. Follow this link for more information: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/m...
Good luck!
From what I was reading yesterday, it is companies that apply for the visas. I think you need to find a company to hire you and they can provide the visa. Microsoft is big into it.
Is an H-1B visa the same type of visa used for students traveling to different countries abroad to study? Because that is what it sounds like. My cousin used to study over in Limerick, Ireland and earned a post-graduate degree in computer science.

H 1 Visas are given if the candidates have special skills which are needed in the US. Companies interested in hiring you have to sponsor you for the visa. They have to apply to the US immigration on your behalf.
They've made it difficult , so be patient .( 0 in fiscal 2005 , for ex.) Ask the US embassy, or consulate in your country .
