Here is the deal. The person is here illegally. If he was NOT HERE this would not have happened. Yes citizens commit crimes. What does that have to do with the fact that if we enforced our immigration laws these people would not be here to commit crimes. Do we also need to import criminals?

I don't see what it has to do with an immigrant. Many citizens run over and kill children also. Why do they do that? Most fatal crashes are caused by drunk drivers reguardless of race, documented or not. I can see why people may be upset. Killing and injuring children is wrong. But a persons status in this country has nothing to do with it. Maybe I should start posting questions on here everytime any kid is hurt or killed by a drunk driver who is a citizen of the U.S.

maybe he couldnt read english...you know the huge yellow signs that say "SCHOOL CROSSING" or "SCHOOL AHEAD" or maybe he didnt know what a school cross walk was.
I wouldn't be surprised if he was intoxicated. Of ocurse his English was probably so poor he probably didn't know how to read the sign that said STOP.
Unfortunately incidents aren't uncommon. A few months ago an illegal immigrant driving a semi on I-25 fell asleep at the wheel and hit a PNM utility truck and killed the guy in the bucket. I say deport every one of these idiots.
Again, two issues! He was sentenced for Vehicular Manslaughter, and will be deported for Illegal Immigration. If the driving the Ford Mustang into six children were an intentional act, then it would have been a homicide and not manslaughter, but either way, his immigration status is irrelevant to the other crime that he committed.
Worried about what would happen to him so instead of stopping he fled the scene of an accident ... yea thats the way to do it.. commit an additional crime.

The story doesn't mention it, but I can't imagine how a person could do such a thing sober.
