I just think that everyone is ignorant due to culture, and you just proved that.
People "pick" on Mexicans because they are the most visible source from where illegal immigrants come from. Other immigrants come into the country, but it's shown in history that whenever a culture that is unlike the American culture comes into the country, Whites, and "America" gets scared- until that culture assimilate.
And I am not being racist when I say "whites", because its true. Every culture beside those of Germanic and English descent has been crucified in some way or another.

Blacks,
Chinese,
Japanese,
Irish,
Jews,
and now Mexicans.
And it still goes on today. I think that culture just needs to be open. When you see a man, do you automatically see a man, or do you the color of that man?
That is what you have to ask yourself.
I see a man. Not his color. But sadly, not everyone else is like that. One day, the U.S will have more people of color than others, So what will be do then? We can do nothing else but sit and get along- and not judge others by ethnic backgrounds and the colors of their skin.

what gets me is when I see the mexicans rally and I see them wave their mexican flags, which is a disgrace. They want to start a life here but then they wave their mexican flags. this is not the way ot works. if you want to raise the mexican flag then raise it in mexico. there is nothing wrong with not forgetting your culture but when you work and live in the U.S. you are AMERICAN. i hardly see any other race wave flags of countries their ancestors are from. this country is founded on immigrants. immigrants that are now AMERICANS and are proud to wave their U.S.A. flag and say GOD BLESS AMERICA. Even now when things are so screwed up and Americans are hated around the world I am still proud to be an hispanic AMERICAN.

the other day the Miss Univers pagent was going on in Mexico. The ultra tolerant Mexicans BOOOOOOOed the Miss USA candidate. it wasn't a few people, it was most of the audience. The next day there was an article in the paper about how the Mexican Army was checking trains at their southern border for (ready?) ILLEGAL ALIENS TRYING TO SNEAK INTO MEXICO. A 14 year old boy, fearing what the army would do to him jumped from the train and fell on the tracks. the train cut off his leg!!

Control the borders first, north AND south (but you don't see Canadians breaking into the US.) When the people of Mexico take control of their own country and make it a place they can make a living wage in they can comment about America. Why do you want to leave Mexico, or countrys south, come to the United States, and make it like the place you came from? It's already happening in California. 9/11 was caused by a few gangsters who happened to be from the MidEast. Arabs are generally considered to be from the Arabian pennisula and in the US we generally refer to them as "air - abs" - correctly or incorrectly, but definitely NOT AY-rab. Muslims are not crazy, nor are they terrorists.

No, we are not picking on Mexicans...that is a stupid statement. 911 and the illegal immigrant issue with the Mexicans are two completely different issues. When Mexicans illegally cross the border....well, what part of ILLEGAL do people not understand? Many Mexicans are here legally trying to become citizens..and I hope they succeed. As for the illegals, they unfortunately should be shipped back immediately. I do not want to pay with my taxes, for another Mexican birth, but when a pregnant mom gets across the border and has her kid here, then the kid has dual citizenship, I believe. And then we pay for so much more for that child. It is disrespectful to those trying to become citizens the legal way. I do believe there is one major issue involved that I have not heard brought up very much. Many Senators, Congresspersons, political high ups....they have illegals in their hire. They do not want to lose their cheap labor for child care, pool boy, landcare person, etc. Another point to bring up is that as Americans, are we willing to pay more for labor if the employers who hire illegals suddenly have to pay higher wages to "real' Americans for services ? I can say that when my roof was replaced a few yrs ago, all the workers were Mexican...and only one spoke English. I live in Ky. I will be bold here and assume that most of those 20 workers on my roof were illegals. Will we as Americans accept paying more for labor if the employers no longer are able to pay scant wages to illegals?

No one is picking on anyone. The first thing these people do coming here is break the law, then that is what most continue to do. Americans are tired of this illegal immigration mess. The folks that don't have a problem with these things are somehow in bed with an illegal or they are profiting off of illegals.
I think the our government can walk and chew gum at the same time. Yes we need to be on the lookout for those of whatever nationality, even our own, that wants to hurt us.
