My question orginally was to be "Can I get KIDCARE Ins for my children who are 1/2 American and 1/2 British by birth, even though only registered in Britain?" My current question is "Does anyone in DCF, except for the big cheeses, know what they they are talking about" 5 years it has taken to get health care for my children, only to find out they could have been having it for the last 31/2 years if someone knew their job!I am not a bleeding heart nor someone who wants to suck benfits dry, I work hard and pay my taxes. The only reason I have found success is because I wrote to Charlie Crist and was given personal care. Thankyou Mr Crist. All you VAWA vitims, please take note, you can claim for health care for your children ONLY if you submit a claim within the period stated on your PRIMIA FACIE, after that, you are on a automatic 5 year ban. I am sorry to use this space as a poddium, but if you knew the hell I have been through in the last 5 years, you would understand.

I know a little about VAWA, this is the act to keep women and children safe from HIGHLYABUSIVE/MURDEROUS spouses. The rules and regulations are not given in any great detail for victims, and yes, no one seems to know what they are talking about. My cousin-in-law was a victim and has been going through the process for about 18 months. This is an issue not to be ignored nor prejudged. It seems to me the first person responding here does not know what VAWA is!
