What are the good and bad things when the USA merges with Mexico and Canada into an economic union?
Will Social Security and other federal pensions (such as military) be honored?
Will this provide the USNA sufficient oil reserves to wean us from Middle East Oil?
Would this be the only way to clean up the corruption of the Mexican government and way of life?
Will the USNA then get serious about stopping illegal immigration from Other Than Mexican (OTM) countries?
Will it be a good thing or bad thing to form the USNA?
Answer:
I cannot see any benefits. For an economic union to succeed the requisite is the similarity of the economies of the respective members. Mexican corruption and poverty preclude success. We must wait till the US reaches the same level, as we are destined to under this administration's policies, before such plans are put into effect.

That won't happen here without bloody conquest. Unlike the european, Americans pride themselves on independence and uniqueness. Remember also that we get far more of our oil from south America than the middle east already, so I dont know where you get we need to wean ourselves off their oil.
And NOTHING is going to clean up Mexico's gov't. Self-destruction is their destiny, and the further the USA gets from that train wreck, the better off the USA will be.
It would be bad for Canada and the US who would be paying to bring up the schools and services of Mexico at the expense of schools and services in the US, much as rampant illegal immigration ruins our schools today, only much worse, much faster.
We need other fuels, so forget the oil part.
And our illegal immigration from 'other' parties is really minimal compared to our illegal immigration from Mexico, as I understand it.
And as to the EU, you do notice that the French and Dutch resoundingly voted DOWN the constitution, and that other countries approving it did not give citizens the vote. It depends on if you are a draining country or a being drained country whether it is good for you.
