Has anyone ever applied to the UK Homeoffice under the 'Long Residence' Policy? And how long did they take?

I have applied under the Long Residence rule to the UK Homeoffice and they said that this would take normally 4-16 weeks but now its gone past 5 months and they are still telling me nothing. If you have also applied under this same policy (the 14 year policy) or know someone who has i would be grateful to hear your experiences, every case is very differenr im interested to hear from as many as possible. My MP has already written a letter and they replied saying that they have too many applicants and that they are still awaiting to allocate me a case worker even after all this time. Its so stressful. Thanks

Answer:
It normally takes 4-16 weeks. If it has passed that period and if you applied at the end of the year 2006 then it can take more than that. This is because for the new year i.e. 2007 they have to finish the backlog along with the new year applicants. for me it took about 7-8 months.

Just keep phoning them and asking about the progress of your application.
ARE THAT VERY BAD FOR YOU
