Yes there are a lot of Americans that get sick of all the dam laws here and love the freedoms they get in other countries plus the girls are hot. I travel a lot as a photographer and was first supprised as how many of us US born, live in other countries. There are plus and mins in all parts of the world. If you love money this is the country for you, if you love thinner girls under 140 lbs and people that are more into you then what you do for work then try something new live in another country. Try stepping out of your box, its a big world enjoy it!
Yes of course- other countries just have the hospitality not to make a big deal about it. It's really just a crime of not doing enough paperwork. People here make it sound like bank robbery.
I have never heard of one. If there are, those people should be punished according to that country's laws.

During the viet nam war there were Americans who immigrated to Canada illegally, they called them draft dodgers.
typically those cases are criminals fleeing, children who run away from home (normally with a predator/older lover), and people going to get drugs and other things not sold, and not always legal, in the us
