Illegal immigrants what do you think of my husbands views?

my husband is mexican american. born and raised in the u.s his parents legally migrated here. and he is against illegal immigrants coming into the u.s and he doesnt like them.

what do you think about the mexican americans that are against illegal immigration?

Answer:
You see... your husband is an AMERICAN... he is part of the American system and he is a contributor. He has something to lose like the rest of us if this problem isn't fixed. This is why he has these views.
Well, in that case, I would have to know his views better. I am Hispanic, and I am also against illegal immigration as an act. What I don't support is a mass deportation, because it not only is inconsiderate, but inhumane and incoherent. Mass deportation will only bring negative effects to both the immigrants and the nation. I think we should solve the problem in a logical, comprehensive way, not in an emotional way. Most people tend to stick with the quick judgment of what's right and wrong, and since it's illegal it must be punished. I think we should not only take moral values into consideration. We should also think about Historical events and political solutions. Again, what most people want to do --to deport them all-- is not a good solution and it will only bring negative consequences. That's the way I look at it.

p.s. I'm not for an open amnesty either.
I REALLY DON'T CARE!! I'M PRO. AND I HAVE MY OWN VIEWS EVERYBODY HAS FREE SPEECH!!

PROUD TO BE MEXICAN!!!!
Just because your husband is Mexican-American doesn't give him any extra authority over another person on the debate on illegal immigration.
Most illegal immigrants want the borders sealed just as soon as they get all of thier own family snuck in.
My wife's family is from Mexico. Many of my friends are of Mexican descent. It's amazing to me how strongly they are opposed to illegals. They use words and say things I can't repeat. It goes to show it isn't about race at all, it's about right and wrong.
Is he imberase of being mexican? I dont get it???
So? My wife is legal immigrant (now a Naturalized citizen) from China.

What's the big hoohie?

She isn't up on a soap box though.
wow. this is new..but if it is true then I admire your husbands good sense..but the law was not in forced over the years and now that we are making more legislation ...i don't think this will help either...I think everyone should come into the United States the legal way...there are a lot of people who have been waiting for over ten years to come into the US the legal way and they still are waiting...why is it fair to allow these illegals to have "anchor babies" and be allowed to shove to the head of the line? In Europe they do not allow "anchor babies" to become citizens just because they are born in their country..well, I don't think much is going to change in the future...we are all victims of this great injustice..but I admire your husbands view point..good for him..
He has the views of most Americans and most of our relatives are from somewhere else so good for him. Get back in line Bs is what we all think! Good Night!
hmmm maybe it's because he's Mexican-American that he hates illegal Immigration. It could be that he thinks that since his family came in the legal way, how come other people don't do it the legal way? Or maybe he's against it because it creates a negative stereotype for Latin-Americans. But i think he should make sure he knows the background information on the topic to better understand it.
Your husband is correct, there should be NO illegal immigration from anywhere. If a country of laws allows them to be broken so business can have cheap labor it eliminates a level playing field for the working person.
Poor thing, what he has to say and do to get a little of you. Give him a hot illegal Latina and what him drop you like a hot potato. HE WILL LEAVE YOU LIKE DIRTY TOILET PAPER, ON THE FLOOR OF YOUR BATHROOM.

Why are you angry at me. Ask him, but he will lie to you and probably not the first time. I am telling you, he has a hot Latina that he sees behind your probably fat enormous butt.

I just knew that your butt is big, and I also know that your head is very small with nothing in it. That is why your Amerimex loves you, he dominates you and knows that he rules his house. You are just his cook, bathroom cleaner and once in awhile a sexual relieve.
I think is that his views are admirable and he is a true American. I am glad to know that Americans of Mexican descent also agree that illegal immigration should not be allowed. Thank you for this posting. You are right, this issue is NOT about racism, much as illegal immigrants and their supporters would like us to think it is.
I respect their view.I think everyone has there own story to tell.I don't mind or care where someone stands on this issue, as long as they are respectful. We can all agree to disagree...

:)
All I can say is that an "illegal" from wherever needs to go back, plain and simple,,,,
How many illegal immigrants do you think on on here? I don't really care about your husbands views, you must think it validates yours somehow.
good for your husband for coming here legally. He is probably against illegal immigration like the rest of us because he did it legally. It took the time and the long process (or at least his parents did) to come here legally. I respect that.
First off, ignore Yankee, he's a real moron.
Your husband sounds like a smart man. It will hurt all Americans if this goes through and your husband is smart enough to know it, apparently. Your husband is not the only legal Mexican American that feels this way, I have several friends that are legal and they are all very upset about it. Common sense tells you this will be the ruination of America. Also, I have to believe it makes it hard on the legals because people will be looking at them like, ah, another illegal.
i was going to write a long text here. but he doesn't t deserve it all i going to say is in Mexico like every were else is dumb people who thinks because they are in better economical or social situation they are better than other people. just a suggestion to him keep staying away from the sun dye your hair and maybe in like 30 generations your kids will actually look like white people and get a white girl for a wife because you won' t like the end result with the one you got now she looks too much like a Mexican .and don t forget your uncles cousins etc. i don t believe that they are all legal unless they bought their green cards.
I personally don't care,, if he feels that way,,he might have his reasons,, but why? does he has a reason? maybe something happened to him and has not gone over it? and by the way am not being ugly OK? i see that you are getting some very nasty answers,, sorry,, but you have to admit you like to make controversy get some people mad,, others just show how racist they can be,,,, LOL... others like my gay self (LOL LOL LOL ) just take this as a fun interesting time killer,,,
He is not alone. But what of the future?

After the end of the American civil war in 1865 the passion of war turned to nation building. It’s important to understand the mind set of the political leadership at the time. There were no immediate foreign threats and the horizon now stretched beyond the Mississippi to California. What stood between was not an enemy but a civilization lost in time and not conscious of it significance. The American Indian stood between America and its manifest destiny. They were a proud and resilient people, surviving not because chance or good fortune, but in spite of it. Harsh conditions, inadequate technology and simply being outnumbered insured their fate.

Many here, for biased reasons usually, attempt to draw some parallel between Native Americans, Mexican Americans and what is happening with immigration today. Most are factually incorrect and ignore the real issues. There is simply no other parallel than that the same realty exists today for Mexican immigrants as for the American Indians over a century ago.

Long before 1890 and the massacre at Wounded Knee, the unofficial end of the Indian wars, the fate of American Indians had been decided (what else could they do, at wounded knee they just got shot like pigeons). They must be assimilated into America or destroyed. The method chosen was controlled isolation on reservations. After all they were not civilized and could not just be let loose into society. Probably most see this as a little weak in the assimilation area as it was intended to be. But America, and the vision of it leaders could not tolerate a society within a society especially one so foreign and unpredictable. The rule of law must apply to all, including the natives, so on the reservation you go.

Sound familiar? Today nation building is done and has been replaced by economic expansion; A different reality for a different time. The need for vast secure lands has been replaced by the need for vast cheap labor. As surely as the United States needed Colorado, Nevada and Montana it needs the labor resources of Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango and Sinaloa. The fate of Mexico is sealed; the great new American reservations which like the American Indian nations be consumed and assimilated. In a hundred years or less there won’t be a Mexico.
Mexican-Americans tend to dislike Mexicans.
Mexican-Americans tend to dislike other Mexican-Americans.
There's ALWAYS some sort of rivalry, someone else has to feel like their superior to the other.
I know this because I've seen it with my own eyes.
All intelligent persons would be against illegal immigration and on the side of a good immigration politic.

So far your husband is again the situation and not against his roots, it is OK for him (otherwise would be terrible for him to see himself in the mirror).

But, the economic consequences for US are not few, and it is as important as finally take a decision, to protect the interest of the US citizen, and of the necesary immigrants (immigrantion is good, so far the country need them for their economy).
I think your husband's views are right.

Illegal immigrants must be deported.

To give them citizenship is to be unfair to the legal immigrants who worked hard to obtain a citizenship.
Your husband doesn't understand or acknowledges why people migrate illegally and apparently forgot that America is the country of immigrants. This is why America is great, we are a big melting pot full of traditions and customs from all over the world. All who come to America come for the same reason, a better life and to be free. I'm not saying is right to oversee the law but, is it right to treat good productive members of society who contribute to our nation like criminals? I don't, the way i see it deport all immigrants who are committing crimes and taking advantage of the system. But all those who migrated illegally and are productive members of society deserve an opportunity to get legalize since they are good people who want to be Americans. So in regards to your husband he is not only ignorant but ashame of were he comes from, which is sad because reality is no matter what to the white man he will always be a Mexican and not a Mexican American and if you dont believe me any document that ask for your race never gives you an option of Mexican American or Mexican, is just Mexican or Latino. So all i can say for him is "povrecito he is not an educated person". Oh and all those who dont know the only way you can migrate legally to the US is by been rich.
I think his views are exactly what they should be,he's an American and therefore should put America's interest first.
Your husband is American. Just because his history is Mexican, he is still an American. He does not want someone to come over here and break the law, it makes everyone who has done the right thing look bad, and get negative MyTend.com responses.

I am American, and white, my family background is Scottish, Irish, about 1/8 American Indian, and some other stuff that snuck in through the years of human bonding. I have, therefore, a background from other countries, just like everyone in the US who is not a complete American Indian, or even for that matter, some Mexican Americans who were here by default when the US stole the property from them.

Your husband is entitled to his opinion, being an American with his own thoughts. Everyone here is entitled to their opinion.

His is *right* in my opinion, and not right in others' opinions. But so what? He can still have it! Good for him having an opinion and sticking to it.
